On the 7th, a video titled "Singer Park Ki-young's three essential pre-marriage checklist items for Solbi" was uploaded on the YouTube channel 'Solbi Is Back.'
The released video features Solbi visiting Park Ki-young's home, during which Solbi mentioned, "I didn't watch it in the past, but now that I'm getting older, I've been watching 'Divorce Reflection Camp.'"
She continued, "Isn't it possible to feel mismatched while getting married?" When she sought advice from couples, Park Ki-young said, "I felt the same way, but I want to strongly advise against it and tell them to break up quickly. Divorce is very difficult and painful. It's a tremendous wound for both parties."
Park Ki-young emphasized, "You shouldn't expect too much. Neither I nor that person can change each other. You need to meet someone with similar defense mechanisms," adding, "What's really important is that I think the period of contemplation before marriage should be longer than the contemplation period for divorce."
She further stated, "You need to live together and also openly discuss your families. There shouldn't be discomfort or forced patience. The third point is finances. I also believe a marriage contract is necessary. If the other person doesn't love me, the contract should be voided. The conclusion is about assets: clearly stating how much of my assets and how much of the other person's assets there are, and agreeing not to touch each other's property in case of divorce."
He noted, "When divorcing, the most discussed topics are childcare and assets." He added, "The best attitude to become a truly genuine couple is that anyone can perform well when things are good. It's about whether you have the strength to endure unhappiness together or not."
Additionally, Park Ki-young advised Solbi, saying, "When you love someone and get married, I hope you only look at that person." She encouraged, "Just like I took care of my child while doing music and singing, she will do everything too. Don't be afraid."
Meanwhile, Park Ki-young married a lawyer who is a year older in 2010 and welcomed a daughter. However, they divorced in 2015, and in October 2017, she remarried a tango choreographer, Han Geol-eum, who is also a year older, whom she met through KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs.' However, after about five years of marriage, Park Ki-young and Han Geol-eum ended their marital life around 2023, and this news was belatedly reported in March.
