CORTIS, a 'Big Hit Music rookie,' will kick off activities for their follow-up song simultaneously with the release of their debut album.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyun, Gunho) released all tracks from their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' and the music video for the track 'FaSHioN' at 6 p.m. on the 8th. Following the activities for the title track 'What You Want,' which was released on the 18th of last month, they are set to perform with 'FaSHioN' on music shows.
The music video for 'FaSHioN,' posted on the YouTube channel of HYBE (Chairman Bang Si-Hyuk), showcases overwhelming visual beauty, filmed in New Zealand's snowy mountains, lakes, and a junkyard. The lavish performances of the members contrast with the grand natural landscapes, adding a unique atmosphere. The choreography staged in front of the Tasman Glacier is especially magnificent. Additionally, shattered cars, high-quality special effects, and fast-paced screen transitions create a strong impression.
This music video was inspired by videos created by the five members during their trainee period. Directed by Bang Jae-Yeob, who has created videographies for various hip-hop artists and major brands both domestically and internationally, the video escalates the fresh ideas of teenagers to a large scale and enhances them with diverse special effects to produce a sensory result.
On the 9th, a conceptual performance film that focuses on the choreography of 'FaSHioN' will be released. The choreography was also created with the participation of the five members, showcasing their overflowing talent, dynamic energy, and enjoyment of the stage.
'FaSHioN' is a track that combines trap sound with Southern hip hop. The members candidly express their lifestyle with lyrics such as, "Gather in Dongmyo, it's like a seminar / Gather in Hongdae, we set it off," centered around 'fashion.' The five members declare they will follow CORTIS's own compass in both music and fashion, breaking away from existing norms. Martin, Juhun, Seonghyun, and Gunho are credited, and all members participated in the choreography, showcasing the characteristics of a 'Young Creator Crew' by co-creating key content for the team.
Meanwhile, CORTIS will unveil the stage for 'FaSHioN' for the first time at the 'CORTIS The 1st EP [COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES] RELEASE PARTY' held at Korea University's Hwajung Gymnasium at 8 p.m. on the 8th. This event will also be streamed online on the global superfan platform Weverse for fans who cannot attend in person.
