KBS 2TV 'Celeb's Secret' welcomes special guest Ok Joo-hyun, who will introduce the life story of 'Marie Curie'.
On the broadcast of KBS 2TV 'Celeb's Secret' on the 9th (Tuesday), musical actress Ok Joo-hyun, who performed as the 'deadly spy' Mata Hari in the previous episode, will appear as a special guest. Lee Chan-won welcomed Ok Joo-hyun, saying, "She has made significant contributions to ensure this is regularly scheduled. It was a huge hit in the ratings."
Currently starring in the musical 'Marie Curie', Ok Joo-hyun joked, "It's the same 'Ms. Ma' this time." Lee Chan-won expressed excitement, asking Ok Joo-hyun, who previously held a quiz for musical tickets in the last 'Mata Hari' episode, "Do you perhaps have 'that' today as well?" Ok Joo-hyun nodded and promised to offer tickets to the quiz winners.
Another special guest was also introduced that day. Professor Park Eun-jung, recognized as a global authority in toxicology and described by Jang Doyoun as "someone walking the same path as Marie Curie," served as the quiz judge. Professor Park humorously asked, "Can't I participate in the quiz instead of just judging?" creating a warm atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the main character of this 'Celeb's Secret' episode is Marie Skłodowska Curie, the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first woman interred in France's Panthéon, recognized as the first person to win Nobel prizes twice. The life story covers how Marie Skłodowska, a poor Polish student in France, met Professor Pierre Curie, known for his 'straightforward nature' and 'life-long love', who earned the nickname 'French official.' It details her discovery of radium and her death. Having devoted her life to research on 'radium,' which has radiation over one million times that of uranium, and being exposed to radiation without any protective equipment, 'radiation exposure' is closely linked to the deaths of the Curies. However, Professor Park Eun-jung hinted at a twist by stating, "Radium was not detected in her bones," sparking curiosity.
Returning as a regular program, 'Celeb's Secret,' the first medical storytelling variety show in Korea exploring the discreet lives of historical celebrities, featuring Marie Curie, will air at 8:30 p.m. on KBS 2TV. It will also be available on Wavve afterward.
