Sung Hanbin of ZEROBASEONE expressed his apologies once again.
On the 7th, Sung Hanbin posted on a fan communication platform, "I sincerely apologize for any discomfort caused by my careless words and actions in the video released on September 6th."
Earlier, a video titled "ZEROBASEONE that wants to see to the hundred and a meal of chicken and waffles" was released on 'Kondaehee.' In the video, Seok Matthew said, "I also have a story. Sung Hanbin has a clean image, but every time we drive, whenever we go over a speed bump, he makes a strange sound."
In response, Sung Hanbin said, "If you go over the speed bump too hard, doesn't your butt hurt? Each time, we have a meme we use among ourselves," then pretended to go over a speed bump and made a sound reminiscent of a woman's moan. Especially, when Kim Daehee said, "Isn't this wrong?" Sung Hanbin replied, "Since it has come out on 'Kondaehee,' I'll do it once," saying this time not a moan but "Yummy."
After the video release, an online debate ensued. Some internet users expressed discomfort regarding the scene, while others praised his sense of entertainment, leading to a clash of opinions.
In response, after the video was released, Sung Hanbin posted on a fan communication platform, "I pushed too hard. There was no different intention, and I must have been too eager for entertainment content. If any ZEROs were offended, I sincerely apologize. I'm sorry. I'll try to improve my speech, Sung Hanbin," expressing his apologies; however, due to ongoing criticism, he posted a second apology.
Sung Hanbin explained, "I needed a little time to organize my thoughts and to convey my message after experiencing this incident. I have thought a lot about how much more carefully I need to speak and act, and what kind of person I should strive to be in the future."
He continued, "At that time, I used expressions that were not careful, without thinking deeply while being nervous. I had no intention whatsoever, but I realized that my shortcomings might cause ignorance to be hurtful, and I feel nothing but shame and regret," and he bowed his head while saying, "I sincerely apologize once again to the ZEROs and everyone who felt uncomfortable due to my shortcomings."
He added, "I will take this incident as an opportunity to move forward with more responsibility and maturity," and stated, "I will diligently learn and make an effort to show changed behavior so as not to disappoint you. Once again, I sincerely express my apologies."
