The group ILLIT showcased their status as a trend icon by gracing the opening stage of Japan's largest fashion festival.
ILLIT (Yoon Ah, Min Joo, Mo Ka, Won Hee, I Ro Ha) participated as special opening artists in the '41st Mynavi Tokyo Girls Collection 2025 AUTUMN/WINTER' (hereinafter 'TGC') held on the 6th at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. ILLIT was recognized as an artist loved by global 1020 fans and became the main act on the first stage of this event, which marks its 20th anniversary this year.
Dressed in sporty looks with refreshing pastel tones, ILLIT opened the festival with their follow-up song 'jellyous' from their mini album 'bomb' (밤). With an energetic and challenging step performance, they elevated the atmosphere, and during the following stage of 'Almond Chocolate', they went out onto the runway, interacting with the audience and radiating charm. Finally, they perfectly delivered a lively performance of their Japanese debut title song 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original title 時よ止まれ/토키 요 토마레), drawing cheers and applause from the crowd.
ILLIT noted, "It was my first time on the 'TGC' stage, and it was a joy to perform thanks to the cheers from many people. It is truly an honor for us to kick off the 20th-anniversary event," and added, "Although it was a short time, I hope ILLIT's charm was well conveyed to everyone. 'TGC', which started in 2005, is a representative Japanese festival showcasing the latest trends in fashion and music with top models, artists, and others participating. Every year, over 20,000 people gather on-site, and the online live viewers reach approximately 5 million.
ILLIT shone at the event not only with their performance stage but also by participating in the opening declaration and lighting ceremony.
Meanwhile, according to Belift Lab, a label under HYBE (Chairman Bang Si Hyuk), ILLIT will perform at the 'Rock in Japan Festival 2025' on the 14th at the Soga Sports Park in Chiba, Japan. The GRASS STAGE, where ILLIT will perform, is one of the main stages of the festival, boasting a large scale that can accommodate around 40,000 people.
