CORTIS has revealed some tracks and parts of the music video ahead of the release of their debut album.
CORTIS (Martin, James, Juhun, Seonghyeon, Geonho) uploaded three mood samplers from their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' on HYBE (Chairman Bang Si-hyuk) Labels' YouTube channel at 6 p.m. on the 6th. It offers a glimpse into the atmosphere of three tracks, excluding the previously released title track 'What You Want' and the intro track 'GO!'.
The 'FaSHioN' mood sampler begins with a view of New Zealand's glaciers. The overwhelming natural scenery combined with the intense music of Southern hip hop layered over trap sounds stimulates curiosity about the track.
'JoyRide' shows the members embarking on a drive with no destination. The visuals, reminiscent of filming with an old camcorder, along with the lyrical and catchy melody typical of the alternative rock genre, provide a refreshing yet nostalgic feeling.
The mood sampler for the final track 'Lullaby' was filmed underwater. Scenes of leisurely swimming combined with impressive experimental guitar riffs feature a sense of freedom typical of psychedelic soul music among teenagers.
CORTIS's debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' captures the first steps of five members searching for what they truly want, rather than just a key handed to them. All members are credited on the album and participated in the production of the performances for 'GO!', 'What You Want', and 'FaSHioN'. They also produced the music videos for all tracks based on self-made videos created during their trainee days. CORTIS is set to gradually unveil the music videos for the tracks starting with 'FaSHioN' at 6 p.m. on the 8th.
Meanwhile, CORTIS released the audio for their title track 'What You Want' on the 18th of last month. This song sparked great attention by ranking first for four consecutive days on Spotify's 'Daily Viral Song Global' chart (for Sept. 1-4). The music video for 'GO!', which was showcased first, has already gained popularity as a dance challenge on short-form platforms even before the official audio release.
