Wonder Girls' Sunmi expressed regret over not being able to attend the complete gathering of the other members.
On the 6th, a video titled "Sunmi, why didn't you appear in the first episode?" was uploaded on 'Yubin's Spotlit'.
On that day, Sunmi, who appeared as a guest, mentioned, "I couldn't be there at that time. They were all gathered together. But I wasn't there," referring to the appearance of Wonder Girls' Hyerim, Sohee, and Sunye in the first episode of 'Spotlit'.
Yubin recalled, "You were called back then," and Sunmi explained her absence, saying, "But I had a schedule then." To this, Yubin said, "At that time, when I invited you, I didn't actually plan to gather all the Wonder Girls members. First, I contacted the people I felt most comfortable with, and you said you would participate when your album came out, so I agreed. But then the dates matched for Sohee, Sunye, and Hyerim. So I thought we could just do it together? The others said it was fine, so that's how it happened."
Upon hearing this, Sunmi expressed, "So I felt a bit like, 'Ah, my place should have been there!' The thumbnail is just perfectly set up with everyone together. It looks so beautiful. It definitely seems like groups have that kind of aura. Individually, everyone is so pretty and cool, but when everyone gathers, the aura feels different." Yubin also said, "Everyone has their own personality, but when they come together, it creates a lovely harmony."
In particular, Sunmi mentioned, "I lack quick reflexes. But I think our Wonder Girls are all like that." Yubin empathized, saying, "I can understand that. We are not all quick styles." Sunmi continued, "If all six of us were together, and if we went on a variety show, I truly get dizzy just thinking about it. When there are six of us, if someone asks a question, we all need time to think and filter before answering. So it takes a while, and it's all (pausing) before we speak."
Yubin stated, "There is the JYP training method. You know, 'Answer in 3 seconds.' It's in the manual. The producer always told us during artist training to think and answer after a delay of 3 seconds." Sunmi commented, "But we take much longer than 3 seconds. We could have a broadcasting accident."
To this, Yubin agreed, saying, "That's true. There is a lot of buffering." Sunmi added, "I sincerely apologize for this. During our 19 years in variety shows, we had long buffering and couldn't make people laugh well, so I sincerely apologize."
Yubin stressed, "But we are not expected to be funny in the future either," while Sunmi requested, "I hope you all understand that. But I sincerely ask you not to say, 'Ah, it's Wonder Girls, they're boring.'" Yubin also emphasized, "We have our own style of comedy, and there's fun in discovering that."
