Former Chief People Officer (CPO) of ASTRO, Christine Cabot (52), filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, just a month after being embroiled in the Coldplay concert "kiss cam" scandal.
According to court documents recently obtained by the British Daily Mail, Christine submitted her divorce application to the Portsmouth Court in New Hampshire, U.S., on Aug. 13. This came shortly after she and former ASTRO CEO Andy Byun were caught on the kiss cam during the Coldplay concert held in July, sparking global attention.
At the time, Chris Martin, who was on stage, warned fans that "their faces could be caught on the large screen," and moments later, the affectionate behavior of the two was broadcast live. The embarrassed pair quickly hid from the camera, and Martin joked, "Isn't this cheating?"
Julia Cabot, Andrew's second ex-wife, did not seem surprised by the divorce news. In an interview with the media, she said, "After the scandal, I texted Andrew, and he replied, 'Her life has nothing to do with me now. We are already broken up.'"
Julia added, "Andrew is not husband material, and Christine is not wife material either," leaving a blunt evaluation. She also revealed that after the incident, messages of 'karma' were thrown around by those around them, mocking their situation.
According to real estate records, Christine and Andrew jointly purchased a two-story mansion worth $2.2 million (approximately 2.9 billion won) located on the coast of Rye, New Hampshire, in February last year. However, Christine was spotted without her wedding ring last July, leading to increased speculation about their separation.
This divorce marks Christine's second (having divorced her former husband, Kenneth Sonbi, in 2022) and Andrew's third.
Julia expressed a cynical response, stating, "It doesn't seem like Andrew was emotionally hurt by this. He is probably just embarrassed." Meanwhile, Christine is drawing attention once again due to this divorce, following the Coldplay kiss cam scandal.
