On the 6th, Lee Hyori's yoga studio, 'Ananda Yoga', sold one-day class passes for 35,000 won through its official website at 6 p.m. the previous day. From the 8th to the 30th of this month, classes will be held twice a day on weekdays, excluding weekends, and a limit was set allowing each person to purchase just one pass, which ran out in about an hour.
As the applications for September closed, inquiries asking to purchase 'cancellation and refund tickets' continued to flood the website. On Instagram, comments expressing disappointment for not being able to purchase the passes included, 'The passes disappeared at the speed of light,' 'It's too competitive,' and 'As expected, Lee Hyori power.'
The yoga studio announced on Instagram, 'In September, as previously mentioned, we will conduct a soft opening (temporary service before the official opening) and will only operate one-day classes so that more people can experience yoga,' adding, 'We would appreciate your understanding for any shortcomings during the soft opening period. After making improvements through the soft opening, we plan to launch a regular pass program in October.'
Lee Hyori opened the yoga studio 'Ananda Yoga' in Yeonhui-dong, Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, on the 29th of last month. The name 'Ananda' for the yoga studio comes from Lee Hyori's yoga alter ego. Expressing her affection for yoga, Lee Hyori has even tattooed 'Ananda' on her body. She plans to personally teach some of the yoga classes.
