DAY6 is proving the excitement of their return as "trustworthy DAY6" by taking the 1st and 2nd places on major domestic music charts with their new regular album's double title tracks.
DAY6 released their new regular album "The DECADE" along with the title tracks "Dream Bus" and "INSIDE OUT" on the 5th at 6 p.m.
"Dream Bus" secured the top spot on the Melon Hot 100 and Bugs real-time charts as of midnight on the 6th, while "INSIDE OUT" took the 2nd place on both charts, garnering dual popularity. Marking their 10th anniversary since debut, DAY6 boasted their unique music power by sweeping the top of major domestic music charts.
Additionally, the eight tracks included in this album, such as "Don't Let It Be Daytime," "Disco Day," "My Way," "In Front of the Stars," "Take All My Heart," "Fly! Dream Rider," "It's Finally Ending," and "Our Season," all successfully charted on the Melon Top 100, Bugs, and Genie real-time charts as of 9 p.m. on the 5th.
The four members Seongjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon held a countdown live on the group's official YouTube channel on the release day (the 5th) to celebrate the release of their new album with fans. DAY6 said, "Today is finally the day we unveil our 4th regular album. I'm so nervous. It's really exciting since it's our first regular album in a while," expressing their anticipation. They then shared behind-the-scenes stories about the teasing content created for the new album and showcased the chemistry they've built over the past ten years through various balance games.
In particular, regarding the solo concert held at Goyang Gymnasium in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, on August 30-31, they shared that it felt like creating a performance together with their fans, known as My Day, under the stage of heaven. They expressed, "I was really happy and it was wonderful. I want to make sure to say thank you to My Day for creating such a joyful time, and we will be a team that strives to return this gratitude, so please look forward to it."
The title track "Dream Bus" conveys a promise not to let go of their dreams, even in a dry and busy reality, like a bus handrail tightly gripped, stirring passionate yet warm emotions through a pop-punk sound and melodic chords.
The other title track "INSIDE OUT" is an attractive song with lyrics that boldly express hidden feelings, starting with a vintage and simple Motown-style sound that explodes into an intense alternative rock sound, drawing listeners in.
On the release day (the 5th), DAY6 unveiled the music video for the double title track "INSIDE OUT," followed by the release of the music video for "Dream Bus" today (the 6th). On the 7th, they will hold a special live commemorating their 10th anniversary on the official YouTube channel and reminisce about their memories with fans.
