Jung Yu-mi shares update after three and a half months... "spending free time to prepare for a fresh start"
Actor Jung Yu-mi has announced her return to YouTube while sharing an update with fans after a long time.
In May, Jung Yu-mi communicated her recent situation through her social media, stating, "Are you all doing well? I feel like it's been too long since I checked in, so I'm reaching out to say hello." She added, "I am also cheering for Manchester City ahead of the FA Cup final and reflecting on the time I spent at the soccer field during last season while looking out for the K League. I also started studying for a Japanese language certification," indicating her pursuit of various challenges even in her busy life.
She also expressed her determination towards new goals, saying, "I had been pursuing the soccer coaching certification with the YouTube production team, and since it's challenging to do it alone, I have temporarily put it on hold, but I definitely want to challenge myself in the future." Regarding the abrupt suspension of her YouTube channel, she mentioned, "I am also very disappointed, but my wish for the well-being of my subscribers remains. I hope everyone is happy every day," leaving a warm message.
On the 5th, about three and a half months later, Jung Yu-mi made her comeback by releasing a video titled "Thank you for waiting, not that Yu-mi!!" on her YouTube channel "Not That Yu-mi." In the video, she expressed her feelings about finally meeting her fans again, stating, "I missed you all. I don't know how much time has passed." She continued, "It was an unexpected situation for me to greet you abruptly like this. I was surprised and upset. I needed time to gather my thoughts before filming again."
Jung Yu-mi also mentioned the changes in the YouTube production system, saying, "I think I can show you a bit more of my true self moving forward. Rather than focusing on immediate views, I want to show the real me. Now that I have taken a break, I want to take things at a manageable pace," indicating a new direction.
She recently revealed that she has been spending her time freely, traveling and recharging her energy in everyday life.
Meanwhile, Jung Yu-mi has been in a public relationship with singer Kangta since 2020.
