Singer 10CM's Kwon Jeong-yeol successfully concluded his first broadcast as the new MC of 'The Seasons' following actor Park Bo-gum.
On the night of 5th, KBS 2TV's music entertainment show 'The Seasons - 10CM's Sseutamsseutam (abbreviated as Sseutamsseutam)' aired for the first time. Kwon Jeong-yeol, the new MC for season 8 of 'The Seasons', took the stage as the host of 'Sseutamsseutam' and met the viewers.
Previously, singers Jay Park, the band Jannabi's vocalist Choi Jeong-hoon, AKMU, Lee Hyori, rapper Zico, Lee Young-ji, and Park Bo-gum have led the 'The Seasons' series. The arrival of Kwon Jeong-yeol, who follows in their steps, attracted significant attention from the casting news.
To alleviate Kwon Jeong-yeol's anxiety, his close friends stepped in. Singer Lee Seok-hoon, known as 'Glasses Man', and the vocalist of the band Soran, Ko Young-bae, appeared together. The appearance of Lee Seok-hoon, who sang the title track 'I Became an Adult', and Ko Young-bae, who appeared as a surprise guest to congratulate Kwon Jeong-yeol dressed as a 'human wreath', elicited cheers from the audience.
As true friends, Lee Seok-hoon and Ko Young-bae immediately noticed Kwon Jeong-yeol's tension and determination regarding 'Sseutamsseutam'. Lee Seok-hoon jokingly said, "Seeing you nervous made me worry that I might make a mistake," while emphasizing, "Your efforts are even beautiful. Your outfit is extraordinary."
On that day, Kwon Jeong-yeol grabbed attention wearing a tweed jacket adorned with sequins and a red sync shirt for the first broadcast of 'Sseutamsseutam'. He agreed with Lee Seok-hoon's words but emphasized, "I plan to improve even further," increasing expectations.
Meanwhile, Ko Young-bae appeared wearing a wreath emblazoned with the words, "10CM as an MC makes my heart restless." He explained, "I clearly stated that I wanted to do it like when IU appeared in Park Bo-gum's last episode. But this is how it turned out," bringing laughter.
He also revealed, "When Lee Young-ji was the host, we both said we'd come out and later become the hosts of 'The Seasons'. It was supposed to be the resignation recommendation of Kwon Jeong-yeol and Ko Young-bae. But it turned out that Kwon Jeong-yeol did it alone," adding to the humor.
Despite the playful banter and encouragement, Lee Seok-hoon and Ko Young-bae supported Kwon Jeong-yeol by singing from Kim Gun-mo's 'Wrong Meeting' to 10CM's hit song 'Stalker'. Above all, they stirred emotions by singing the legendary song 'Friend' by actor Ahn Jae-wook together.
Ko Young-bae remarked, "We joked around, but even after 15 or 16 years, when Kwon Jeong-yeol was much busier, he came to celebrate any chance to congratulate me, even with such poor hospitality. So I wanted him to feel a little relaxed, and that's why I came here today," conveying his heartfelt support for Kwon Jeong-yeol.
With this encouragement, Kwon Jeong-yeol successfully concluded the first broadcast of 'Sseutamsseutam'. He smoothly wrapped up the time with a variety of guests, including senior MC AKMU's Lee Chan-hyuk, Lee Seok-hoon, and Ko Young-bae, as well as Epik High and comedian Song Eun-i. Attention is now on what kind of appearance he will show in his first MC challenge with 'Sseutamsseutam'.
