The running festival '10K CHALLENGE SEOUL' has unveiled a special donation program in partnership with donation angel Sean, along with the departure group arrangement.
This competition will be divided into various groups to ensure that all participants, from those challenging records to those running for the first time, can enjoy it. The departing groups will be run as ▲Group A (BEST Challenge within 40 minutes) ▲Group B (BEST Challenge within 50 minutes) ▲Group C (BEST Challenge within 60 minutes) ▲Group D (First Challenge – donation group with Sean) ▲Group E (First Challenge).
Notably, Group D 'First Challenge – donation group with Sean' is of particular interest. This group will run alongside Sean, a singer and noted donation runner, and the total entry fee of 30 million won from participants will be donated to the Korea Habitat Rodem Tree International Alternative School.
This donation program is significant in that it allows runners to go beyond just running and to deliver a positive impact on society through their runs. Participants in Group D running with Sean will experience a special finish by linking their running experiences with consolidation.
The event not only challenges runners' records but also embodies the meaning of sharing, and the donation group with singer Sean is expected to make this competition even more special.
'10K CHALLENGE SEOUL,' taking place on Oct. 26, will be co-hosted by MBC SPORTS+ and WORLD21HQ, and is designed as a running festival in the heart of Seoul that combines music and visual presentations beyond a traditional marathon. Unlike the marathon held in the morning, it will start at 4 p.m. on Sunday, allowing runners to experience the moment the sky turns to sunset while running. Particularly, the section at Sogang Bridge is a famous spot where the sunset begins around 4 p.m., so participants will enjoy the enchanting autumn scenery combined with the Han River and the city during their run.
The course will span from Yeouido Park to KBS Headquarters to the National Assembly Building to Sogang Bridge to the Yeouido IC Interchange to the National Assembly Building to KBS Headquarters and back to Yeouido Park, covering a 10 km course that includes landmarks of the Han River and central Seoul. This festival focuses on a single 10 km course and aims to recruit a total of 15,000 participants. Registration will be available from 9 a.m. on Sept. 9 through the official website, and it will close on a first-come, first-served basis.
It is a running festival where the autumn sky, music, and festivities come together, offering participants not only records and enjoyment but also the opportunity to share.
