Actor Lee Shin-young said her confidence dropped after meeting Yoon Seo-bin.
On the 5th, a press conference was held in conjunction with the media distribution preview of the movie 'Full Throttle' at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Songpa District, Seoul. Director Lee Seung-hoon attended the conference along with Ha Seok-jin, Lee Shin-young, Da-hyun, Lee Soon-won, and Yoon Seo-bin to discuss the film.
The movie 'Full Throttle' is a running drama that portrays the full-throttle effort to achieve a perfect ending for a man running in the present and a man running in the future.
He is the fastest man in Korea, but Gu Young (played by Ha Seok-jin) is at the tail end of his prime. The film depicts his struggle to improve his dream of competing in the men's 100M at the World Athletics Championships by just 0.02 seconds. Actor Lee Shin-young plays the role of high school student Kang Seung-yeol, who has speed faster than a soccer ball and is a rookie high schooler immersed in the joy of running.
Lee Shin-young took on the role of an athlete in this work, following her appearance in the movie 'Rebound' released in 2023. In response to a question about her athletic skills, she noted, "In fact, I am just a little better at sports than others. But this thought was before I met Seo-bin. I had some pride; I was someone who ranked 1st or 2nd during school days. But after running with Seo-bin, I realized there are people better than me. I became more humble."
She continued, "During the character building stage, I was training, paying attention to records and reducing my time, and I became greedy. I think this is the thrill and excitement that athletes feel. That is the charm of track and field athletes."
Reflecting on her past track skills, she stated, "I used to place 1st or 2nd in school competitions, and I even made it to the finals of the provincial competitions. But after meeting Seo-bin, I felt utterly defeated," also praising Yoon Seo-bin's running skills.
Meanwhile, the movie 'Full Throttle' is set to be released exclusively at Lotte Cinema on the 10th.
