Kim Min-ji and Shin Soo-ji will join the lineup of players for the new sports entertainment show 'Queen of Baseball' airing in November. In celebration of the official founding of the 'women's baseball team,' which is structured around athletes from various sports, they went through an interview and physical test with Director General Park Sei-ri and Coach Choo Shin-soo.
First, Kim Min-ji, known as 'Athletics Karina' and a record-holder in the 400m and 400m hurdles at the National Sports Festival in 2018-2019, is determined to claim the title of the top base runner in women's baseball through her specialty in running. Shin Soo-ji, known as the 'goddess of rhythmic gymnastics' who competed as a national representative in women's gymnastics at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, is expected to showcase her innate flexibility in offensive and defensive plays, raising expectations for the performances of the two.
'Queen of Baseball' is moving ahead rapidly, with the selection of players, including Kim Min-ji and Shin Soo-ji, following Director General Choo Shin-soo, Coach Lee Dae-hyung, and Yoon Seok-min, facilitating the founding of a women's baseball team with strong 'potential.' The cast of female athletes, who are even unfamiliar with baseball rules, will join the newly formed women's baseball team and experience a real growth journey through intense training characterized by sweat and dirt in preparation for actual games. Directed by Shin Jae-ho, who helmed the franchise entertainment show 'Steel Troops W,' and penned by Kang Suk-kyung, who also worked on 'Steel Troops W' and 'Physical 100' seasons 1 and 2, this highly anticipated show promises thrilling entertainment in the realm of sports.
