Dex has been cast as the male lead in the Korean-Japanese co-production film 'The Ghost House,' overcoming criticisms regarding his acting ability.
The film 'The Ghost House' (directed by Cho Chang-geun / produced by Film Joah / co-produced by LKM Factory) is a gourmet fantasy romance that depicts the warm consolidation of human relationships through life and death, loss and freedom, and meetings and farewells. It is based on the short stories of renowned Japanese author Banana Yoshimoto, known to domestic fans for her novels 'Kitchen' and 'Lizard.'
In this project, Kim Jin-young, Choo So-jeong, Park Hae-rin, and Yoon Seong-bin have confirmed major roles. Attention is focused on the synergy created by these diverse actors who have been active across genres and platforms.
Kim Jin-young, who made her acting debut through LGU+'s drama 'Taro,' which entered the competition section of the Cannes International Series for the first time in Korea last year, is set to play the role of 'Yoon Seong,' a male lead who appears indifferent on the outside but is meticulous and warm on the inside, hinting at a new charm.
Recently, Choo So-jeong, the leader of WJSN, has solidified her status as an actress with impressive performances in the dramas 'The Divorce Insurance' and 'Heo's Diner,' and she is expected to play the role of 'Se Jeong,' a realistic and rational job-seeker who is honest with her emotions.
Park Hae-rin, who showed a strong presence with stable acting skills that are uncommon for a newcomer in LGU+'s dramas 'Taro' and 'When the Silver Bell Rings,' will portray a leader-type character 'Joo Hyun,' who takes charge of the atmosphere with her active and proactive personality.
Additionally, former skeleton gold medalist and national team member Yoon Seong-bin joins the cast, garnering attention. He is making his acting debut through this project and is set to play 'Min-su,' Se Jeong's (played by Choo So-jeong) past lover and pottery teacher, showcasing a different acting transformation.
'The Ghost House' is produced by Film Joah, which has a solid planning capacity and stable production system, raising expectations as it has previously delivered high-quality works such as 'Memories of a Dead-End Alley' and 'Ghost of Oksu Station.'
