Actress Kim Nam-joo provided realistic advice to her junior Kim Ok-bin, eliciting both laughter and empathy.
On the 4th broadcast of SBS Life entertainment show 'The Queen of Insight Kim Nam-joo', Kim Nam-joo visited Kim Ok-bin and a friend who is in charge of makeup, engaging in honest conversation.
When asked about her recent situation, Kim Ok-bin said, "I'm doing entertainment shows and looking for my next project after finishing a work," and went on to say about her ideal type, "a kind and caring person like Tom Hardy," attracting attention.
Kim Ok-bin asked her senior Kim Nam-joo, "I'm curious about how you felt during the 7-8 year gap after marriage." In response, Kim Nam-joo revealed her genuine feelings, saying she felt sad thinking, "Will I ever stand on that stage again?' while watching an awards ceremony on TV.
Kim Ok-bin also shared her concerns as an actress. She said, "Even when I pour my passion into a project, sometimes the results don't follow. Just because I've worked hard doesn't mean I will always be rewarded; it seems like a job where praise and rewards are slow to come."
In response, Kim Nam-joo, with her characteristic straightforwardness, humorously added, "Why is there no reward? You were paid. You were paid a lot too," which drew laughter. She then seriously advised, "The results are not in our hands. They belong to the entire team. The protagonist shouldn't be depressed. You shouldn't be swayed by others' evaluations, and you need to practice mind control."
Finally, she conveyed the mindset of an actor, saying, "What's important is that we did our best, and whether we were happy among ourselves during the process," leaving a deep resonance.
