In 'The Mantis: Original Sin,' Jang Dong-yoon guarded against Ko Hyun-jung.
The SBS new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Mantis: Original Sin' aired on the 5th, featuring the meeting between Jeong Yi-shin (played by Ko Hyun-jung) and Cha Soo-yeol (played by Jang Dong-yoon).
On this day, Cha Soo-yeol went to find his mother, Jeong Yi-shin, to solve the same murder case after 23 years since the capture of the cruel serial killer known as The Mantis. After 23 years of reunion between the two, Jeong Yi-shin said, 'Jeong Ho,' and Cha Soo-yeol replied, 'I am Cha Soo-yeol, a detective in the violent crimes investigation unit.' To this, Jeong Yi-shin asked, 'I see you've gotten married; there's a ring mark. Do you have a child?'
Cha Soo-yeol asked, 'Let's skip the small talk outside of the case. I'm not here for a family reunion. Did you see the file?' Jeong Yi-shin replied, 'I probably tried to replicate it in the same way. If I didn't struggle, it seems I enjoyed it. I use a saw. When it goes into the neck bone, the person's torso vibrates. The sound of the blade is something this guy seems to know nothing about. If it's an axe, it would make a man.'
Additionally, Jeong Yi-shin said, 'Bring more pictures. We can discuss it then,' to which Cha Soo-yeol sarcastically remarked, 'You were smiling while looking at the pictures; I suppose that's nice. It brings back memories and I feel the smell of blood.'
Jeong Yi-shin laughed, saying, 'Does the smell of blood bother you? They said it has to be cut open upside down to be taken out. When they were performing the surgery, for some reason, the anesthesia wore off midway. I endured it. I was worried that if I moved, something would go wrong for you. It felt like I was rummaging with gloved hands while cutting open my belly. And that's when you were born. I like the smell of blood; it's the scent that came when you entered the world.'
