Yoo Jae-suk dances while imagining an unexpected member combination for the finals stage of the '80s Seoul Music Awards.
The Sept. 6 episode of the MBC entertainment program 'What Do You Do When You Play?' (directed by Kim Jin-yong, Lee Joo-won, Ahn Ji-sun, Lee Do-eun, Bang Seong-soo/writer Noh Min-sun) depicts Yoo Jae-suk, PD, meeting individually with participants ahead of the '80s Seoul Music Awards' finals, which will take place on Sept. 11.
Yoo Jae-suk and Joo Woo-jae meet with Lee Jeok, Ha Dong-kyun, Jung Sung-hwa, and Lee Yong-jin to find out which songs they would like to perform in the finals. Several songs reflecting their tastes and aspirations are presented, and Yoo Jae-suk responds, "It completely targets the audience," drawing attention to which hopeful songs will emerge.
Among several songs, Yoo Jae-suk's body reacts to the dance group Sobangcha, which captivated young girl fans in the 1980s. An unexpected combination of people who "wouldn't perform Sobangcha songs" is proposed, and Yoo Jae-suk gleams, saying, "I'm getting ambitious," and "As a PD, I want it badly." His sudden rise to dance creates curiosity about which unexpected 'Sobangcha' members have excited him.
Meanwhile, Jung Sung-hwa, who had been particularly interested in the prize money at the last meeting, is revealed to be filled with ambition, and Yoo Jae-suk comments, "You were quite busy working behind the scenes," piquing curiosity. Lee Yong-jin appears in a more singer-like outfit than a singer trying to imitate Yoon Do-hyun, catching everyone's attention. He explains, "I did it because it felt like a song pocket," eliciting laughter.
Ha Dong-kyun, freed from Park Myung-soo, appears with a lively expression different from the last meeting, attracting attention. Everyone is amazed at the unsealed Ha Dong-kyun finally speaking out. Lee Jeok expresses excitement about 1980s music, and Yoo Jae-suk jokingly comments, "At some point, you came over and started hosting together. Your infiltration power is amazing," causing everyone to burst into laughter. The scenes of Yoo Jae-suk and Joo Woo-jae having individual meetings with participants of the '80s Seoul Music Awards' can be seen in the Sept. 6 broadcast of MBC 'What Do You Do When You Play?' at 6:30 p.m.
