Rising star Lee Ji-yeon has signed an exclusive contract with FNC Entertainment (hereinafter FNC) and will embark on her full-fledged activities.
Lee Ji-yeon has been cast in the new daily drama on KBS 1TV, 'Mari and Strange Dads,' following her exclusive contract with FNC. 'Mari and Strange Dads' is a drama that depicts the birth of a strange family that is thicker than blood and more tenacious than sperm.
In the drama, Lee Ji-yeon will play the role of Ahn Soo-sun, the best friend of the protagonist Kang Mari (Ha Seung-ri). She is a character from the MZ generation who manages a YouTube channel while working as a nurse and is expected to bring vitality to the home theater with her diverse charms.
Lee Ji-yeon has showcased her lovely visuals and immersive acting through music videos of various artists and has gradually expanded her acting spectrum by appearing in short-form dramas such as 'Obsessive Marriage' and 'Cross-dressing Secretary.' In particular, she is anticipated to be active in the second half of this year with various works slated for release. Lee Ji-yeon is expected to fully reveal her potential as an actress by meeting the public across a broader range of genres.
FNC noted, "Lee Ji-yeon is an actress who authentically portrays a variety of emotions with her bright eyes, voice, and delicate facial expressions," and added, "We will continue to provide comprehensive support so that she can grow in a wide range of works."
Amid expectations for Lee Ji-yeon's activities following the new partnership with FNC, the new daily drama on KBS 1TV, 'Mari and Strange Dads,' will premiere on Oct. 10.
