Park Min-young and Jung Woong-in create a 'highly urgent situation on the airplane,' causing great chaos.
The new weekend miniseries 'Confidence Man KR,' set to premiere on Sept. 6 (Saturday) on TV CHOSUN, is a 'caper comedy' about three con artists with versatile skills seeking revenge against the villains of this era, written by Hong Seung-hyun and Kim Da-hye, directed by Nam Ki-hoon, and produced by TMI Group.
'Confidence Man KR' aims to herald a new era of 'K-caper' dramas, collaborating with director Nam Ki-hoon, who showcased delicate directorial skills in 'Casino,' 'Kiss Sixth Sense,' 'Oh My Baby,' and 'Voice 3,' and writer Hong Seung-hyun, known for his meticulous suspense in 'Criminal Minds' and 'Cheryong 1, 2,' along with Kim Da-hye, whose strong writing creates synergy. With acclaimed actors Park Min-young, Park Hee-soon, and Joo Jong-hyuk striving to capture global fans with their outstanding performances, the drama is among the most anticipated for September 2025.
In relation to this, Park Min-young and Jung Woong-in heighten the tension with a 'chaos in the sky' that threatens their lives. The scene where the 'Team Confidence Man's' genius leader Yoon I-rang (Park Min-young), disguised as a flight attendant, faces off against Jeon Tae-soo (Jung Woong-in), who is outwardly the chairman of a public foundation but is actually a living legend in the loan sharking industry, over the wide-open airplane door. Yoon I-rang shows a flustered expression, straying from her usual confident demeanor, while Jeon Tae-soo creates a dangerous atmosphere with his furious expression. The intrigue builds as questions arise about why Yoon I-rang and Jeon Tae-soo engage in a chaotic situation in the sky and why they are suddenly confronting each other over the airplane door.
Meanwhile, Park Min-young and Jung Woong-in caught attention with their engrossing performance in this scene showcasing the limitless tension of the genius con show. Park Min-young surprised the audience with her vivid portrayal of the subtle changes in her expressions, reflecting a fine line between elegance and comedy. Jung Woong-in perfectly embodied the sharp and menacing villain Jeon Tae-soo, instantly dominating the atmosphere and heightening immersion.
The production team stated, 'Park Min-young and Jung Woong-in elevate the urgency of the limitless, unimaginable con show with their exceptional expressiveness,' and added, 'Please look forward to the unparalleled performances of the two actors, filled with twists and turns, in 'Confidence Man KR.'
Meanwhile, 'Confidence Man KR' will be simultaneously premiered at 9:10 p.m. on Sept. 6 (Saturday) on TV CHOSUN and Coupang Play and will be available in 240 countries and regions outside Korea through Amazon Prime Video.
