DAY6 is releasing a new studio album after about 6 years to celebrate their 10th anniversary.
DAY6 will release their new studio album 'The DECADE' on 5th at 6 p.m.
The fourth studio album, which is being released about 5 years and 11 months after their third studio album 'The Book of Us: Entropy' on October 22, 2019, was created by borrowing from the English word meaning 10 years.
On the afternoon of 4th, DAY6 added the teaser for the music video of the new song 'INSIDE OUT' through their official SNS channels, garnering a warm response from My Day (fandom name: My Day). The video heightened expectations for the complete music video with its strong melody and lyrics showcasing sincerity, such as "Let's go, okay, it's love me, love me, trap me inside you, quickly save me."
The regular album 'The DECADE' includes the title tracks 'Dream Bus' and 'INSIDE OUT', as well as 'Please don't shine', 'Disco Day', 'My Way', 'In front of the stars', 'Take All My Heart', 'Fly! Dream Rider', 'It's finally ending', and 'Our Season,' with a total of 10 tracks.
With the 10th anniversary approaching on September 7, 2025, DAY6 renewed their contract with their agency JYP Entertainment once again. Based on long-standing trust, JYP Entertainment promises to provide comprehensive support and encouragement for Seongjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon, as well as the brighter future of their fans.
To commemorate the release of their new studio album 'The DECADE', all four members of DAY6 shared their thoughts about the new album.

Q. 'The DECADE' is expected to be a work that contains both the excitement of releasing a studio album after about 5 years and 11 months and the significance of being released on the 10th anniversary of their debut. Please share your thoughts on coming back with a regular album to celebrate the 10th anniversary. How do you think this album will be remembered for DAY6?
Seongjin: When I create songs, I always try to do my best regardless of the album format. I am simply grateful that we are still making music until our 10th anniversary. I believe this album will be remembered as a 'special album commemorating the 10th anniversary.'
Young K: It feels like an opportunity to reflect on the past 10 years, and at the same time, it feels like a new chapter is beginning. I am grateful to everyone who has run alongside us until now, and I feel a deep affection. I am also looking forward to the future.
Wonpil: The day of our 10th anniversary has come for us as well. I used to think it was a distant future, but I am really grateful and happy that I can celebrate the 10th anniversary with my brothers and Dowoon. I think this regular album 'The DECADE' will be a meaningful album that we can look back on as a record of what we have left behind in the distant future.
Dowoon: I believe this album will be remembered as a party with my brothers and our My Day after 10 years.
Q. I am curious about how you came to present double title tracks for the first time after your debut. What were the reasons for selecting 'Dream Bus' and 'INSIDE OUT', and was there a moment when you thought, 'We should make this song the title track' while working on each title track?
Seongjin: I wasn't sure which song would be good, but I wanted to show both colors of 'Dream Bus', which embodies DAY6's style, and the new challenge 'INSIDE OUT.'
Young K: The two title tracks seem to have the most contrasting yet powerful appeal. The song 'Dream Bus' carries dreams, while 'INSIDE OUT' showcases diverse colors, both of which represent various aspects of DAY6.
Wonpil: On the occasion of our 10th anniversary, while working on the songs, 'Dream Bus' felt the most like us, while 'INSIDE OUT' was a track like an adventure, so it holds great significance. Since they are contrasting genres, I think you will feel the richness when you listen.
Q. The title track 'Dream Bus' sings the determination to not let go of dreams, like the handle of a bus tightly grasped even in a dry and busy reality. If there are dreams that you don't want to let go of, like the lyrics of 'Dream Bus', which say 'Even if it shakes like a bus handle and stumbles'?
Seongjin: 'DAY6', which represents our past, present, and future, is my dream.
Young K: To me, my dream is 'happiness' and 'hope.' There are moments in life where it feels like we might lose happiness, but I will hold it tightly and never let it go.
Wonpil: Creating good music as DAY6, and showing a good image as Kim Wonpil from DAY6. These two are dreams that I absolutely do not want to let go of and are dreams that I want to continue to achieve in the future.
Dowoon: My dream is simple. I do not want to miss this DAY6.
Q. The other title track 'INSIDE OUT' contains a message of boldly expressing feelings of love without hiding them. Please take this opportunity to express one bold statement to the members who have been with you throughout this time.
Seongjin: Thank you for being with us. Let's stay healthy and happy in the future!
Young K: Thank you for gathering here together to this point. You've worked hard, and let's now live with a more comfortable mindset.
Wonpil: Our 10th anniversary has arrived. You've really worked hard to get here. I'm always grateful, sorry, and I love you!!

Q. With various stories of the world being sung, you have also earned the title of 'the band that sings every moment.' The new album also incorporates various emotions and stories such as comfort, hope, love, excitement, and memories that one encounters on the journey of life. If you had to pick the song from the regular 4th album that resonates with you the most? Also, I am curious if there are any new stories or genres that DAY6 wants to try singing in the future.
Seongjin: I think we are in the process of striving for the phrase 'the band that sings every moment.' In this album, I like 'Our Season' the most. I think music is still fun because I don't know what music we will make in the future.
Young K: I resonate the most with 'Our Season.' It may be the song containing the story I wanted to tell the most. I believe it encompasses hope, love, excitement, and memories. I have many genres I want to challenge in the future, so I hope for your great expectations.
Wonpil: I would like to highlight 'Our Season', the last track of this album. It was a song that brought me great comfort during the process of working and recording, and I really like the atmosphere of the song. Personally, I would love to try a thrilling song that mixes band sound with EDM!
Dowoon: I want to mention 'Dream Bus.' Music that allows me to sing with My Day always gives me a happy feeling, rather than sticking to a particular genre.
Q. Starting with the YES24 Move Hall in November 2015, you achieved solo performances at the Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium and Inspire Arena, with 360-degree performances, and recorded the entry into Gocheok Sky Dome and KSPO DOME as the first K-pop band. Especially ahead of your comeback, how did you feel about achieving a solo performance outdoors through your 10th anniversary tour 'DAY6 10th Anniversary Tour < The DECADE >' held on August 30th and 31st in Goyang?
Seongjin: I am grateful just to have My Day with me for the 10 years, and it felt like I received a gift. The days spent with My Day are truly memorable moments. Above all, I believe that I can face the present thanks to My Day. Although there isn't a specific venue set for the next target, anywhere where DAY6 and My Day are together would be great.
Young K: From the rehearsal, I was excited about being able to share this stage with many My Day. I also felt, 'I'm living a happy life.' I hope everyone who was there keeps beautiful memories.
Wonpil: Everything felt unbelievable since we returned from our hiatus. Are we going to perform on a 360-degree stage? Are we really going to Gocheok Dome? Are we going to have an outdoor concert at Goyang Sports Complex? I kept questioning those things. We started with a small performance at YES24 Move Hall in 2015, and to think that we are having the outdoor concert we've always dreamed of at Goyang Sports Complex on our 10th anniversary is still surreal and makes me grateful. All of this is thanks to My Day. The venue I want to go to in the future is the one that My Day wants!
Dowoon: It is all thanks to My Day that DAY6 was created and that we can stand on big stages. There isn't a specific place set in mind, but I want to show a good performance anywhere, putting my best effort.
Q. DAY6 debuted with 'Congratulations' on September 7, 2015, and this year marks the 10th anniversary. Throughout this long time, what has been the most memorable moment? Also, at this new starting point for the next 10 years, is there something new you want to try, and how do you want to move forward?
Seongjin: The moments spent with My Day are the ones I remember the most. Looking at the eyes and expressions of the fans gives me the strength to achieve things I thought I couldn't do. Every endeavor I pursue in the future will be a new challenge, but I want to continue toward a path that allows everyone involved, including myself, to be healthy and happy.
Young K: Many moments are engraved in my memory, but I hope these days will be the ones that stand out the most. It feels like I am living the most dreamt-of version of myself now, and tears of relief are flowing these days. Therefore, I want to live comfortably doing the things I want to do. One of those is to continue challenging new music.
Wonpil: Since debuting, there have been unforgettable moments each year, but I think the year-end concert in December 2023 stands out the most. I had been eagerly waiting for that day for quite a long time, and I can't forget the moment it unfurled before my eyes. I sincerely thank my brothers, Dowoon, My Day, and all the staff. What I want to challenge anew is still music. Since DAY6 can handle various genres, I am looking forward to the music we will write in the future. I will continue to strive for recognition in music just as we have until now. I think that is the rightful path we should take.
Dowoon: The most memorable moment for me was when the members got back together after 4 years, just like Wonpil hyung. In the future, I want to take care of my body and mind and enjoy making music.
Q. To celebrate your 10th anniversary, you prepared various projects such as fan meetings, a 10th-anniversary tour, and an album release. Was there a project in particular that you were most excited about regarding My Day's reaction?
Seongjin: The double title tracks. It's the first time we are presenting two title tracks at the same time, so I am curious which song they will like more. We prepared it with a mindset of doing everything we can.
Young K: This concert is probably it. The setlist containing all the title tracks from the albums released over the past 10 years and the voice of My Day were something I was looking forward to. I was truly happy during the concert and wanted to work harder so we can continue walking with My Day.
Wonpil: The concert. We have grown through concerts, and without concerts, DAY6 would not have existed. In this concert, we pre-released four tracks, including the double title tracks 'Dream Bus' and 'INSIDE OUT' as well as 'Disco Day' and 'Our Season,' which makes it even more meaningful since we introduced all the title tracks from the albums released over the past decade.
Q. What dreams did DAY6 hold 10 years ago? Now that you are celebrating your 10th anniversary, how much does the present-day DAY6 resemble the future that you envisioned back when you first debuted? What would you like to say to yourself and DAY6, who have worked hard for the past 10 years?
Seongjin: While the current situation might be somewhat different from what we dreamed of back then, I have come to realize how difficult it is to make music happily with those who collaborate with us, regardless of the scale. 'You've worked hard, and let's continue to work hard in the future.'
Young K: The process was quite different from the way I envisioned it, but ultimately we seem to have reached it somehow. How I see myself now resembles the future I envisioned quite a bit. The message I want to give to myself after running for 10 years is, 'Yes, well done.'
Wonpil: I think I dreamed of the present back 10 years ago. The 'now' where people recognize and love our music. It's astonishing and gratifying that the images I kept picturing in my mind have now become a reality before my eyes. The past 10 years have not been easy, so first of all, I want to express my sincere gratitude for enduring this long. 'Let's not overthink or rush anymore; let's take our time and walk together for a long time without hurting our bodies or minds.'
Dowoon: I think my goal has always been to maintain the same mindset as now, rather than having big dreams. 'Let's continue to do well in the future.'
Q. There is a saying that "10 years can change mountains and rivers." A lot has changed during the long journey of 10 years. What do you think you have changed the most about as a member of DAY6, and what aspects do you still think remain the same?
Seongjin: I guess my physical appearance has changed the most as time has passed. (laughs) My personality of liking people remains the same.
Young K: What has remained the same is the people, while what has changed is the skills. I have trained to rise and become stronger through various challenges. Yet, on the inside, I remain the same.
Wonpil: I believe I have become more attentive to those around me! I used to focus only on writing good songs and improving my skills, but with time, I have come to realize the importance of the people around me. What remains unchanged is my desire to create good music to share!
Dowoon: I believe the biggest change is that I understand myself a bit better now than when I first debuted. What I think remains unchanged is my brothers and our My Day being by my side.
Q. We cannot skip talking about the My Day that has walked alongside us for these 10 years with DAY6. Please express My Day in one word. Also, please share one message to My Day, who has stood by us without change.
Seongjin: 'Friends'. Whether in good times or tough times, we support each other and continue moving forward together. Thank you for always being with us. Let's all be healthy and happy!
Young K: 'Love'. It is something that cannot be defined, yet embraces all kinds of complex feelings. That seems to be love and My Day.
Wonpil: My Day feels like 'partners in life.' A partner is someone who accompanies you in any action. When DAY6 has something to accomplish, we cannot move on without My Day. I hardly want to imagine that. The reason we can exist as we do today is that My Day has always been with us. I am always thankful and sorry. Please don't get hurt, and let's walk together slowly for a long time. I love you ♥
Dowoon: Thinking of My Day fills me with gratitude. I carry those memories with me. I believe that if we could be of help to My Day even a little, we have achieved our goal. In the future, I want DAY6 to be a reliable 'friend.'
