Actor Lee Soo-hyuk is embroiled in controversy, as it has been reported that he was overworked during a fan meeting held in Hangzhou, China, on the 30th of last month, where he signed autographs for thousands of fans for 12 hours due to excessive ticket sales and a strenuous schedule.
According to Taiwan's EBC News and local media, the fan meeting, originally scheduled for 6 hours and 30 minutes, was extended to 12 hours due to prolonged ticket sales.
The event was held in extreme heat due to a malfunctioning air conditioner, and Lee Soo-hyuk continued signing autographs while soaked in sweat as he interacted with fans. By the end of the event, he showed symptoms of dehydration, appearing pale and staggering.
Fans are raising their voices, saying, "Please treat Lee Soo-hyuk like a human being," "There needs to be thorough verification from the organizers," and "I hope this doesn't happen again."
In response, his agency, People Entertainment, expressed deep regret on the 3rd, stating, "We are deeply sorry for the unexpected situations that occurred during the event," and added, "We will work closely with the relevant parties to prepare for better encounters in the future."
Lee Soo-hyuk moved from YG Entertainment to People Entertainment in July.
