Actor Ahn Dong-gu will join KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday mini-series "Last Summer."
KBS 2TV's new Saturday-Sunday mini-series "Last Summer" (directed by Min Yeon-hong, written by Jeon Yu-ri, produced by Monster Union and Slingshot Studio) unfolds as childhood friends Baek Do-ha (played by Lee Jae-wook) and Song Ha-kyung (played by Choi Seung-eun) confront the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box, showcasing a remodeling romance drama.
Ahn Dong-gu plays the role of Oh Seung-taek, a senior in patent law and a para ice hockey national representative. Oh Seung-taek (played by Ahn Dong-gu) is a para ice hockey player and the kingka of patent law, who captivates women with his broad shoulders and charming eye smile. The hot summer story of Seung-taek, who rides a sled and kicks up ice while racing on the cold rink, is expected to color the drama with vibrant and rich fun.
Earlier, Ahn Dong-gu gained viewer affection with his deep performances in works such as the Netflix original series "Sweet Home," KBS 2TV's "Soul Repairer," SBS's "That Year We," KBS 2TV's "Love According to Law," and tvN's "This Life is Our First Life." In particular, in the drama "This Life is Our First Life," he played the role of Ha Do-yoon, who is cold yet warm, delicately depicting the character's inner world and emotions, even causing a romantic immersion, solidifying his position as a next-generation rising star.
Last year, he proved his acting spectrum without genre restrictions by making his stage debut with the play "Killology." Ahn Dong-gu took on the character David, who carries inner scars, and captivated the audience with his outstanding delivery of a tremendous amount of monologue.
Meanwhile, Ahn Dong-gu's upcoming KBS 2TV new Saturday-Sunday mini-series "Last Summer" will premiere on Nov. 1 (Saturday) at 9:20 p.m.
