The 'HYBE global group' &TEAM has confirmed their Korean debut next month. This marks a significant moment as they land in the K-pop homeland after achieving 'million seller' status in Japan.
&TEAM (E-Ju, Huma, K, Nicholas, Yuma, Jo, Harua, Taki, Maki) announced, "We will release our first Korean mini album 'Back to Life' on Oct. 28," at the team formation third anniversary event '&TEAM 3rd Anniversary [緣 DAY]' held in Tokyo, Japan, on the 3rd. While they have made special appearances on domestic music broadcasts with Korean versions of their original Japanese songs, this will be their first official Korean album activities.
&TEAM conveyed, "Thanks to the support and love of LUNÉ (fandom name), we have come this far. We hope that the occasion of our Korean debut will allow us to convey &TEAM's charm to a wider world and further. We want to walk this journey with LUNÉ. We are working hard to show you a wonderful appearance, so please continue to support us."
According to their agency, YX Labels, their Korean debut album 'Back to Life' is a work that captures the journey of the nine members over three years and a new leap forward. Expectations are high for &TEAM's unique musical color and growth story, expanded on the basis of HYBE's 'global DNA' (Chairman Bang Si-hyuk).
&TEAM broke through cumulative shipments of 1 million copies with their third single 'Go in Blind' released in April, proving their presence in the Japanese music market by receiving the first 'Million' certification from the Japan Record Association (as of July). In addition, their first Asia tour, which lasted for about two months starting in May, drew approximately 100,000 spectators, showcasing their status as a 'global group.'
In particular, their solo concert held recently at the Seoul Jamsil Indoor Stadium sold out immediately after ticket sales began, including the additional obstructed view seats, proving the hot interest in Korea. This Asia tour is set to conclude with an encore performance on Oct. 25-26 at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan. This venue is the largest scale among performances hosted by &TEAM.
&TEAM, the first overseas incorporated localization group from HYBE and debuting in Japan with the full support of Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, has continuously pursued challenges on a global scale. Their Korean debut is expected to serve as a new starting point that leads this journey to an even greater leap.
