On the 4th, rapper Dokki announced that he has been notified of a police investigation for defamation of character concerning a publication.
On the same day, Dokki wrote on his social media (SNS), "I am in the United States, but the police came to my brother's house in Korea to arrest me for defamation of character regarding a publication," adding, "They said they would arrest me if I do not undergo questioning tomorrow. Didn't someone report me for listening to my rap lyrics?"
Defamation of character concerning a publication refers to applying charges when someone publicly states facts or falsehoods that damage another's reputation. However, it has not been revealed what statements or lyrics Dokki is being charged for in this lawsuit.
Dokki debuted in 2005 participating in the track 'Circus' by Dynamic Duo, gaining public recognition from shows like Mnet's 'Show Me the Money.' He has faced several controversies, and an issue of unpaid taxes also arose in 2022-2023, but he recently paid the related taxes.
He noted, "This is how a real MC lives," and said, "If I find out the name of the accuser, I will post again."
