Shim Hyung-tak recalled his first meeting with his wife Saya on "The Return of Superman."
In the episode aired on the 3rd, KBS 2TV's variety show "The Return of Superman" (hereafter "Superman Returns") featured Shim Hyung-tak celebrating 200 days with his child Haru.
On this day, Shim Hyung-tak said about Haru, who turned 200 days old, "Time has really flown by in just 200 days. I'm curious about the future that awaits us."
Shim Hyung-tak came out into the living room holding Haru and said, "Haru, Dad has something prepared for you. It's a special 200-day celebration," then took out a poster of Ameng, drawing attention.
In a subsequent interview, he noted, "Ameng has been a precious friend to me, but because of Ameng, I was able to marry Saya. I met her on the day we filmed at the Doraemon Museum in Japan. If we hadn't had that filming, I would have lived my life never knowing Saya existed. She was the project manager at that time. I fell in love at first sight and knocked on the door continuously, and it opened."
Shim Hyung-tak also said, "Ameng was always by my side. Thanks to that, I met Saya and got married, and I was able to meet such a beautiful Haru."
He added, "This is my sincere wish. I wanted to create our child's footprint and form entirely by my own strength without my wife's help. I wanted to imprint our feet inside that footprint," and he attempted to create a handmade footprint and form.
However, contrary to his intentions, Shim Hyung-tak made a hilarious mistake with the imprint. Even though he tried again, the footprint was completely smudged. Seeing Haru's footprint, Shim Hyung-tak sighed, saying, "It turned out like a panda's foot," and Ahn Young-mi laughed, saying, "Even Ameng's foot got dirty."
After numerous ups and downs, Shim Hyung-tak completed the footprint and began making a hand and foot sculpture of Haru. He succeeded in taking a mold of Haru's hands and feet with dough and quickly poured plaster into the mold to start solidifying it.
While solidifying the hand and foot sculpture, Shim Hyung-tak put Haru, who had gone through tough times, to sleep. Using his soothing skills, he sang a song, but Haru, who was not easily lulled to sleep, eventually fell asleep in a baby carrier.
After completing the hand and foot sculpture, Park Soo-hong said, "How grateful will Haru be to see the sculpture made by Dad?" To this, Shim Hyung-tak replied, "Thank you," decorating it with his favorite character and saying, "The Amengs will guard it."
