Singer Kang-Nam conveyed his love for his spouse, Lee Sang-Hwa.
In the episode aired on the 3rd on tvN 'You Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'You Quiz'), Lee Na-Kyung, who achieved Korea's first female unpowered world tour, and the couple Lee Sang-Hwa and Kang-Nam, who are in their seventh year of marriage, appeared.
Lee Na-Kyung, who completed Korea's first female unpowered yacht world tour, made her appearance. After working as an insurance planner in Singapore for 10 years, Lee Na-Kyung turned her life upside down and set off on a world tour—on an unpowered yacht, no less.
Lee Na-Kyung revealed, "I sailed for 11 months and 330 days."
The competition, where 11 yachts race to see who can complete a world tour of 40,000 nautical miles across the four oceans and six continents using only the power of wind and sail, had Lee Na-Kyung experiencing significant changes in her mindset. However, she noted that she has no regrets and is currently reorganizing her life and looking for work again.
Former national speed skater Lee Sang-Hwa and singer Kang-Nam also appeared. This couple, who stirred up public attention since announcing their marriage, was gaining additional attention after Kang-Nam opened his YouTube channel.
Kang-Nam often becomes a topic of conversation with his playful antics towards Lee Sang-Hwa, to which she responded coolly. Lee Sang-Hwa said, "I accept his apologies when he asks for forgiveness. I don't get that upset about things that have already happened. However, I want to know what he's thinking when he does those things," and mentioned that he absolutely cannot eat ramen.
They each cited points that made them fall in love: Lee Sang-Hwa mentioned, "His seriousness amidst his playfulness; above all, he is very respectful to older people. His manners are truly good," while Kang-Nam noted, "It's cute when Lee Sang-Hwa gets tired and faints. Usually, she's perfect and looks great, but when she falls asleep, she is really cute."
Kang-Nam did not openly show it, but his respect and love for Lee Sang-Hwa were evident. Lee Sang-Hwa recalled her feelings at the time of her retirement, saying, "I felt a bit disappointed. I had skated since elementary school, and if my knees hadn't hurt, I could have skated longer." Cho Sae-ho then asked, "If your knee pain completely went away, would you consider trying again?" To this, Lee Sang-Hwa replied, "If you give me 1 to 2 years, I can definitely do it," with a changed gaze.
Kang-Nam stated, "At the time of her retirement, Lee Sang-Hwa was genuinely struggling. Not only with her knees but also with severe ankle pain," then said more seriously, "But while watching her, I could really see how tough it was for her." He added playfully, "I would rather give her my knees so that Sang-Hwa can work hard and shine for the country while I rest at home." Yet, he was clearly devoted, having even obtained a sports massage certification for her.
In return, Lee Sang-Hwa also showed her love for Kang-Nam. When Kang-Nam's father was diagnosed with liver cancer, she frequently reached out, checking on him and even vacuum-sealing food to send to Japan, demonstrating her quiet affection. Kang-Nam remarked, "After getting married, taking walks with the dogs and Sang-Hwa brings me happiness. I realized that enjoying simple moments is more fulfilling than earning money, driving good cars, or traveling, and Sang-Hwa taught me that."
