SEO Jang-hoon, known for his sharp remarks and wise sayings on 'Radio Star,' expressed deep gratitude for the public's love.
On the 3rd, the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' featured members of 'Bye-Bully-ance.' SEO Jang-hoon said, "We are appearing as a spin-off of 'Muk-Jji-Pa' called 'Bully Hills' on Disney+. So we came to promote it as well." Noh Seon-wook introduced the members by saying, "Although the 'Tattoo Pig' character is popular, when 'Radio Star' got a massive viewership, it seems like it became an opportunity to move forward. Thanks to that, we could appear on 'Muk-Jji-Pa' as well."
Shin Gi-ru had a unique reason for his appearance. As he was gaining fame for his eating broadcasts, he gained notoriety particularly on YouTube for his candid remarks that struck a chord with viewers. He wanted to establish a new identity as a comedian.
Shin Gi-ru said, "I didn't want to rely on being funny or fat any longer. So I declared that I didn't want to broadcast in front of hot flames. Then the next day, my manager told me about a new program with SEO Jang-hoon, Park Na-rae, and Lee Gook-joo on SBS." He added, "It was fine that Lee Gook-joo was also on the heavier side. But the members I wanted were Ahn Yu-jin, Karina, and Jang Won-young," leaving Kim Gura astounded.
Shin Gi-ru remarked, "I heard there are other participants as well. They said there were guys, and I wanted an actor like Gong Yoo or Lee Dong-wook. Someone like Kang Daniel." He then mentioned that it was Noh Seon-wook and Shin Dong-yeob, which made Kim Gura comment that "Even Shin Dong-yeob is respectable." Subsequently, Shin Gi-ru explained, "I really can't use my body well, but I received the Rookie Award at the entertainment awards for 'Muk-Jji-Pa.' Yet they tell someone who can't even stand to perform on the 'Queenka' stage. At the 2024 Entertainment Awards, they want me to perform with Lee Gook-joo and Shop Ddoong. In fact, Lee Gook-joo is pretty good at moving around," noting how it became a turning point for him.
SEO Jang-hoon, who has provided realistic and somewhat harsh advice on 'Divorce Reflection Camp', 'Teen Parents', and 'Ask Us Anything Fortune Teller', even reached the point of vocal cord nodules. He was very affectionate towards both the programs and people.
SEO Jang-hoon said, "I used to be emotional, but I seem to be becoming even more sensitive. I cried a lot while watching the massive hit 'When Life Gives You Tangerines'. I was so embarrassed that I thought about who could see me." He also mentioned that he cried at Min Kyung-hoon's wedding held recently.
SEO Jang-hoon stated, "I was on 'Knowing Bros' for 10 years. Seeing someone get married made me feel proud and happy. When he read his wedding vows, I couldn't help but shed tears. I looked to the side and saw Hyodong was crying too."
Later, SEO Jang-hoon remarked that he was glad to have been loved by the public after he accidentally started doing entertainment programs. He said, "When I was an athlete, I wanted to be loved more, to do better, and to give more hope. To be honest, even though I did well, I always felt regret until I retired. I realized that I couldn't become a player that the fans had a deep affection for."
SEO Jang-hoon said, "Now that I accidentally got into entertainment, I felt the warmth that I had longed for all my life, that I couldn't receive from the public gaze during my long basketball career. It was like the feeling of a child who didn't receive love at home wanting to go to another house where warmth is given." This drew more support.
