'Our Ballad' revealed the a cappella live performance of the Top Back Group, which is the embodiment of ear healing.
The SBS new music audition 'Our Ballad' (directed by Jung Ik-seung, Ahn Jung-hyun, Han Ye-seul, Ko Ji-yeon), which will be broadcast for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 23, is a music audition program that shares life ballads that have accompanied us in every moment of our memories and finds new voices for 2025 to sing anew the ballads that were my songs back then. Including the Top Back Group composed of Jung Jae-hyung, Jun Hyun-moo, Choo Sung Hoon, Park Kyung-rim, Danny Goo, Crush, Jung Seung-hwan, and Oh My Girl's Mimi, the Top Back Group, consisting of 150 people, will discover gems among participants with an average age of 18.2, leveraging the power of collective intelligence.
The released second teaser video captured the scene during a break in the recording of Round 1. Jung Jae-hyung expressed interest by saying, "The arrangement of our seats looks like a high note bar," and Park Kyung-rim also noted, "Everyone here is connected like a line with us," recognizing the significance of the set design, which piques curiosity for the collective audition that the Top Back Group of 150 people will conduct together.
Meanwhile, when Jun Hyun-moo asked the Top Back Group about the song composed by Jung Jae-hyung, the answer came back, "'Pure Masculine'," dismissing many other tracks. At Jun Hyun-moo's suggestion, Jung Jae-hyung amusingly sang 'Pure Masculine' for the first time in a long time, causing laughter. Jun Hyun-moo didn't miss the moment, saying, "You know you shouldn't press the button if you do that? That would mean elimination," adding humor. Later, when Crush belted out 'Sometimes', he quickly dominated the scene, and Jun Hyun-moo used it as a good example of when to press the button.
Introducing another hit song, Choo Sung Hoon showcased 'Two-Lane Bridge', loved in the movie 'Mask Daltho', immediately engaging the audience, bringing additional enjoyment with his seasoned skills. The irreplaceable emotional ballader Jung Seung-hwan provided ears with comfort through 'You Fool', while Choo Sung Hoon, the 'Ajo-ssi', connected the atmosphere with the 2025 version of 'One Love', receiving thunderous applause.
Feeling a sense of urgency, Jung Jae-hyung said, "I want to do it again. I just sang it normally earlier," and quickly sang 'Pure Masculine' again. However, Jun Hyun-moo countered, "What's different from before?" capturing their delightful banter moment and revealing the colorful chemistry of the Top Back Group, leaving anticipation for the first broadcast of 'Our Ballad'.
Meanwhile, the new music audition 'Our Ballad' on SBS is gaining attention as a collaboration between Park Sung-hoon, chief producer of 'K-Pop Star', Jung Ik-seung, director, and Mo Eun-seol, writer of the global Netflix hit 'Culinary Class Wars', alongside Ahn Jung-hyun, who led 'My Little Old Boy'. The prestigious audition brand SBS is collaborating with SM Entertainment, which has set the standard for K-POP globally and has led the popular music industry, and SM C&C, a top Korean cultural content corporation and the best management agency, to launch this large-scale audition program, which will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 9 p.m.
