Singer Shin Ji openly shared her process of preparing for marriage, including finding a newlywed home and packing for the move.
On the 3rd, a video titled "We came to look at furniture for the house we will move into (feat. furniture discount subscriber event)" was posted on the YouTube channel What Shin Ji?!?.
In the video, Shin Ji visited a furniture store to select furniture for her newlywed home. She noted, "We have most of the appliances set up, and now I think it will feel like a home once the furniture comes in," as she started serious preparations for the interior. She expressed particular interest in the bed, saying, "These days, there are many modular motion beds. I found it amazing that you can adjust the cushion feel."
Shin Ji also revealed that she couldn't hold back tears during the moving preparations. She said, "My mom and sister bought all the dishes, and when they arrived, it felt as if the two of them were right there with me, which made me emotional. In that moment, I realized, 'Now I have my own home.'" She shared her heartfelt feelings and added, "I'm so excited and thrilled to decorate the space I want in the way I want and to live with someone."
The house Shin Ji chose is a rural home. She said, "Having lived in an APT. my whole life, I wanted to live somewhere quiet," and explained, "The house I contracted is the ninth house I looked at and the third one I saw. It's not big, but I like that I can enjoy rural life both in front and behind the house, and it feels good." She added that the third-floor space would be reserved for her fiancé, Moon Won, saying, "He will probably always be on the third floor, so I prepared a walkie-talkie just in case," which made everyone laugh.
Meanwhile, Shin Ji announced her marriage to singer Moon Won last month. Although there was some controversy, both sides clarified the misunderstandings, and the wedding is expected to proceed as scheduled in the first half of next year.
