In the latest episode of "The Return of Superman," Shim Hyung-tak introduced traditional Japanese clothing and bragged about receiving abundant love from his father-in-law.
The episode that aired on the 3rd of KBS 2TV's entertainment program "The Return of Superman" (hereafter "Superman Returns") depicted Shim Hyung-tak taking photos with Haru to celebrate her 200th day.
On that day, Shim Hyung-tak went to the photo studio with Haru, who was celebrating her 200th day. As soon as he entered, he said, 'Hasn't she grown a lot? Isn't she so pretty?' and added, 'This is my pride. I have nothing else to brag about.'
As the shooting began in earnest, Shim Hyung-tak showcased a traditional Korean hanbok gifted by hanbok designer Park Sul-nyo as his first outfit. He said, 'Ms. Park Sul-nyo had made us a hanbok for Haru's 100th day as well. But we couldn't take pictures because she cried too much. Now, the hanbok from her 100th day doesn't fit. When I mentioned this, she said she would make a new one for us. I am very grateful.'
However, Haru, feeling confused in the unfamiliar environment, soon began to cry. Anxious, Shim Hyung-tak sang a lullaby he used to sing to her, and Haru quickly regained her composure and participated in the photo shoot.
Most notably, Haru fully transformed into a flower boy by wearing a bokkeon and beoseon, perfectly embodying the image of a flower boy in the style of Park Bo-gum and Cha Eun-woo. Choi Ji-woo commented, 'Our Haru has such good looks,' and Shim Hyung-tak laughed, saying, 'I hope she grows up just like that.'
The first photo, completed thanks to Shim Hyung-tak's efforts, led him to exclaim, 'Wow, whose son is this? So pretty, really pretty,' unable to take his eyes off it.
The second outfit was a traditional Japanese hakama. Shim Hyung-tak explained, 'It's the outfit worn at Japanese weddings. My father-in-law said it suits him so well that he wants to dress Haru in hakama, even if it costs money. It's several tens of millions of won. Renting it is also expensive; it's over 1 million won.' He expressed his surprise, saying, 'I also wanted to dress her in that outfit.'
Transformed into a little groom, Haru perfectly showcased a visual strikingly similar to her father. Next, she transformed into the famous Japanese character Monchichi, boasting a notable resemblance with her lush hair and captivating the audience, leaving them unable to distinguish between her and the doll. Choi Ji-woo remarked, 'Oh my goodness, she's so cute.'
Continuing on, Shim Hyung-tak and Haru transformed into animated characters, taking couple photos and creating cherished memories. Excited as they shot in top condition, Shim Hyung-tak asked, 'What percent does Haru rank in terms of condition and visuals?' The photographer replied, 'Her visuals are in the top 1%, and her condition is also in the top 1%.' This made Shim Hyung-tak smile brightly.
Later, Shim Hyung-tak expressed, 'It's so nice to see my son growing up beside me,' and added, 'Although many days are ahead, I think I will cherish this 200th day the most.' He then turned to Haru and said, 'Thank you for coming to Dad and Mom. You're so lovable, Haru.'
