The 25FW UNIQLO : C collection global launch event was held on September 3 at the Gongunhye Gallery and Gallery Dos in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Previously, UNIQLO hosted the UNIQLO : C collection global event in major cities such as New York, Paris, and Tokyo, and this time, Seoul was selected for the 25FW season.
This exhibition, held in a space where the collection's unique modernity meets Korean sensibility, is designed to allow visitors to experience the collection's mood through various spatial arrangements. The event was graced by Claire Waight Keller, the British designer behind the collection, and key UNIQLO executives.
Claire, a world-renowned designer, won the 'British Designer of the Year' award at the British Fashion Awards in 2018 based on her experience in luxury houses and was named one of the '100 most influential people in the world' by the U.S. weekly magazine TIME in 2019. She has been showcasing the UNIQLO : C collection since 2023 and was appointed as UNIQLO's creative director in September 2024.
The theme for this season is 'Modernity in Motion,' emphasizing a balance between formal elegance and casual comfort. Inspired by the sophisticated urban vibe of Zurich and the vibrant atmosphere of the mountains, this collection features a blend of intricate tailoring and functional materials. Notably, UNIQLO showcases jackets, hoodies, and coats made from PUFFTECH, a next-generation functional material co-developed with the advanced fiber company Toray. PUFFTECH is characterized by its lightweight and warm feel, as well as ease of layering.
The event was further illuminated by the attendance of celebrities from both domestic and international backgrounds. Actress Kwon Yu-ri showcased elegance and casual comfort with Heattech cashmere blend knitwear. She posed with Claire Waight Keller and discussed the modern sensibility and styles inherent in this season's theme.
Hwang In-youp displayed a practical sense that can be easily enjoyed in everyday life with a PUFFTECH outer.
Arin revealed a classic yet lively charm with a tweed jacket and check skirt.
CNBLUE's Jung Yong-hwa caught attention with a dark-toned jacket and wide pants and also took a friendly commemorative photo with the designer Claire.
STAYC members Aisa and Sumin expressed their individuality by interpreting the essence of 'Modernity in Motion' in their own styles at the photocall.
