SBS 'Curious Story Y' tackles actor Song Ha-yoon's past school violence controversy.
On the 3rd, the production team of 'Curious Story Y' released a teaser trailer through their official social media. The video features the caption, 'A confession after 21 years, what is the truth behind the Song Ha-yoon school violence controversy?' which piqued viewers' curiosity.
In the teaser, testimonies from informants related to the school violence allegations against Song Ha-yoon followed. One informant claimed, 'You have to be hit if a senior hits you,' emphasizing the atmosphere at that time, and provided a shocking assertion that the victim had received a diagnosis of three weeks of medical treatment.
In relation to this, Song Ha-yoon's legal representative stated, 'It is difficult to respond. Please go out,' refusing an interview request from the production team. As a result, interest is focused on how far 'Curious Story Y' will shed light on the reality behind the school violence allegations that emerged after 21 years.
The allegations of school violence against Song Ha-yoon emerged last year. At that time, while gaining attention for her role as the villain Jeong Soo-min in the tvN drama 'Marry My Husband,' she was embroiled in revelations of being a perpetrator of school violence during her school days from someone claiming to be a high school classmate, referred to as A. Song Ha-yoon denied the accusations, stating, 'It's completely false, and I have never met A,' but she was unable to overturn public criticism, suspended her activities after terminating her contract with her former agency.
About 1 year and 5 months later, in July of last year, Song Ha-yoon's side claimed again that the allegations were false and filed a lawsuit against A for spreading false information. However, the investigation was delayed because A resided in the United States, and A eventually boarded a flight back to Korea.
Song Ha-yoon's side revealed that they have additionally filed a defamation lawsuit against A, who first raised the school violence allegations. In addition to defamation, they are proceeding with a secondary lawsuit for obstruction of business and intimidation. A plans to file a lawsuit against Song Ha-yoon and her law firm for false accusation, defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, and coercion.
Song Ha-yoon's side still maintains their position of innocence, while A has shown a willingness to confront her directly after returning to Korea. The stories included in 'Curious Story Y' will be revealed during the live broadcast on Friday at 8:50 p.m.
