Pop singer Lady Gaga abruptly canceled her Miami concert and apologized.
Lady Gaga posted a lengthy message on her social media on the 3rd (local time), stating, "I'm really, really sorry, but I have to postpone the concert in Miami tonight."
She continued, "Last night during rehearsal and today during my vocal warm-up, I severely strained my voice, and my doctor and vocal coach advised me not to go on stage due to the risks. I wanted to give my all for you, but I don't want to take the risk of long-term or permanent damage to my vocal cords. Based on all the experiences we have, there are significant risks involved in such performances. And as you know, I sing live every day."
Lady Gaga reiterated her apology, saying, "This was a really difficult and painful decision, but I'm more afraid of having a long-term impact on my voice. I hope you will forgive me and accept my heartfelt apologies for any disappointment, inconvenience, or frustration I caused. I'm so sorry."
She added, "I've really tried hard to avoid this situation. I always take meticulous care of myself to pull off such a large performance. I love and respect my fans so much. And I hope you will accept my sincere and regret-filled apology. I'm trying to reschedule the concert as soon as possible."
Lady Gaga is currently on her world tour 'The MAYHEM Ball,' and she decided to cancel the concert just before the Miami performance. Lady Gaga experienced a fall during her concert in Las Vegas earlier this summer, and in May, the concert in Rio, Brazil was targeted in a bombing attack by a hate group.
Lady Gaga is also preparing for her performance at Madison Square Garden in New York on the 6th.
