Broadcaster Sayuri humorously resolved the controversy with her self-made 'Homework Song.'
On the 3rd, a video titled 'Sayuri's Apology Homework Song' was released on her YouTube channel, Sayuri's Death Note.
In the video, Sayuri wore a headband with 'homework' written on it and persistently asked her son, Zen, 'Did you do your homework?' When Zen protested, saying, 'But you told me I didn't have to do homework, Mom,' Sayuri responded in her unique tone, 'You must definitely do your homework,' eliciting laughter. To this, Sayuri's parents made a surprise appearance, adding to the cheerful atmosphere.
The simple lyrics and repetitive melody of the 'Homework Song' boasted infectiousness. Internet users reacted, saying, 'As expected from Sayuri,' 'Zen is so cute, I burst into laughter,' and 'The participation of her parents was a highlight.'
Earlier, Sayuri appeared on the program 'A-Class' in March, stating about her son's English kindergarten homework, 'My son absolutely does not do homework. I oppose homework. I am proud of my son who doesn't do homework,' and revealed that she wrote a letter to the teacher. When this statement was made public, there was a positive perspective that it was an educational method that respects a child's curiosity, but there was also considerable criticism that refusing homework while attending an English kindergarten is contradictory.
As the controversy intensified, Sayuri stated, 'I also looked shameless. I hadn't considered the kindergarten rules. I learned a lot from this incident,' lowering her head. She added, 'When Zen enters elementary school, he needs to understand the rules. He shouldn't turn out like me,' expressing her reflections.
