In the episode aired on the 3rd, the couple, Lee Sang-hwa and Kangnam, who have been married for seven years, appeared on tvN's 'Yoo Quiz on the Block' (hereafter 'Yoo Quiz'). Yoo Jae-suk recalled, 'You met on 'Law of the Jungle,' and that is where your love began. There were reactions that it was strange because of the pet dog you both raise.' Kangnam shared, 'I have a fixed program, and Tae Jin-ah and Song Dae-kwan came to our house. However, our Gangbuk was barking, and during the filming, Sanghwa came in as a special guest, and it turned into 'hold me' mode.'
They pinpointed the moments they fell in love, with Lee Sang-hwa saying, 'His seriousness hidden within his playfulness, and above all, he is very respectful to adults. His manners are truly proper.' Kangnam noted, 'It's cute when Lee Sang-hwa is exhausted and fainted. Usually, she is perfect and cool, but when she sleeps, she becomes extremely cute,' adding, 'The real Lee Sang-hwa is perfect and cool. But she's cute,' repeatedly listing her advantages.
In particular, Kangnam's mother was not fond of the marriage due to her respect for Lee Sang-hwa's background. Kangnam said, 'My mother told Sang-hwa, 'Kangnam is playful, so it will be tough if you marry him,' and 'You're a national representative; why are you dating someone like our son?'
Lee Sang-hwa remarked, 'She really took me away and said, 'Why are you meeting someone like Kangnam? Why are you, a person who has brought glory to the country, meeting someone like our son?'
After the marriage, Kangnam even obtained a sports massage certification for Lee Sang-hwa's ailing body. Since Lee Sang-hwa, who wants to continue competing as an athlete, certainly appreciated Kangnam's consideration. Kangnam humbly stated, 'It seems they packaged it nicely for me.' He added, 'I'd rather give my knee to Sang-hwa so she can work hard to bring glory to the country while I rest at home,' mixing humor with sincerity.
Lee Sang-hwa also showed quiet affection towards Kangnam's family. Kangnam shared, 'My father was diagnosed with liver cancer, but Sang-hwa has been more attentive than I am. She often contacts him, brings him healthy food, and even covers his treatment costs. My father cries when he sees Sang-hwa.'
Lee Sang-hwa mentioned, 'My father is not well with his liver and heart. Kangnam doesn't show it, but I can tell by his expression. So, I cleared my schedule and went to Japan. My father loves Korean food, so I vacuum-packed it and sent it over, carefully excluding salty foods. He has recovered a lot now, which gives me peace of mind,' demonstrating their consideration for each other.
Meanwhile, Kangnam and Lee Sang-hwa left behind an interview reflecting their thoughts about each other. Lee Sang-hwa said, 'After skating for 20 years, I felt hollow upon retiring. Kangnam seemed to feel sorry for me. So, he even planned travel schedules for me and told me, 'You can still do many fun things in the future, so live while enjoying it.' I appreciate his thoughtfulness.'
Kangnam expressed, 'Anyway, I wanted to show Lee Sang-hwa that she can live happily in the future. So, I did what I could for her,' adding, 'After getting married, going for walks with the dogs and Sang-hwa is happiness. Making money, driving a nice car, and traveling, I learned that the closeness is what brings joy, and that is taught by Sang-hwa.'
