Group NewJeans' Daniel's recent participation in an Australian marathon during a hiatus has been revealed.
Sean posted several photos on his social media on the 3rd, stating, "2025 SYDNEY MARATHON Unknown Crew Marathon competition participation Daniel's first 10km competition entry."
The released photos show Daniel and Sean taking a certification shot together at the marathon event held in Sydney, Australia. Dressed in a pink workout outfit, Daniel revealed a bright smile, showcasing a cheerful update.
Sean added, "A 10km record of 47 minutes and 27 seconds—can this record be real just two months after starting running? Congratulations on completing the first competition, especially with such a good record at the Sydney Marathon 10K! It's so nice to see you happily running!" praising Daniel without reservation.
Meanwhile, NewJeans is currently on hiatus. In March, the Seoul Central District Court granted a provisional injunction filed by ADOR against the five members of NewJeans, thereby preventing the group's independent activities. The members immediately protested and filed a counter-motion, but the court dismissed it. Their appeal was also unsuccessful.
Additionally, if the members continue their entertainment activities independently without ADOR due to indirect coercion, they would owe ADOR 1 billion won for each violation. If they engage in independent activities as NewJeans, they would have to pay a total of 5 billion won to ADOR.
