In the midst of a heatwave of 38 degrees Celsius, tvN's 'Handsome Guys' cast members Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Dong-hyun, Lee Yi-kyung, Shin Seung-ho, and Oh Sang-wook embark on a life without air conditioning.
Starting from the 39th episode, which airs on Thursday, Sept. 4, tvN's 'Handsome Guys' (directed by Ryu Ho-jin, Yoon In-hwi, and Lee Seung-hwan, hereinafter referred to as 'Handsoms') will showcase the five men, who boast perfection in their respective fields, battling to survive in a situation they never imagined. The show will feature laughter, games, and teamwork, depicting their 'tribe life' in a situation of 'lack.' The expected display of humor and the well-developed chemistry among the members in this context are anticipated to create explosive synergy.
Among them, the 'Handsoms' members heighten interest by taking on their first tribe mission of 'living without air conditioning.' That day, thinking it was a trip, the members purchase as much as 7 kilograms of barbecue meat and revel in their newfound freedom. However, weary from the heat, the members arrive at their lodging and immediately shout, "Turn on the air conditioning to maximum cooling!" only to find themselves in a situation more frightening than a summer horror special: all air conditioners are out of service in the 38-degree Celsius heat.
Shin Seung-ho, who had no idea that the 'air conditioning shortage' was a plot by the production team, sent out an SOS, saying, "PD, this is an emergency. We might have to stop filming. Please turn on the air conditioning!" Suddenly, the production team declared the 'start of tribe life,' startling everyone. Bright and carefree Kim Dong-hyun experiences a panic, while Shin Seung-ho, full of fury, demands clarification, asking, "Are we told to live with a lack? Or is this a quest for deficiency?" At that moment, 'brain duo' Cha Tae-hyun and Lee Yi-kyung quickly realize that the mission is to 'live without air conditioning,' prompting the hefty youngest member Oh Sang-wook to exclaim while sweating profusely, "I can do without a house, but I need an air conditioner!" evoking laughter.
Meanwhile, the members are taken aback by the fact that lunch consists of barbecue cooked under the scorching sun. Unable to accept the reality of being without air conditioning, Shin Seung-ho destroys all the air conditioning locks set up by the production team, making Cha Tae-hyun burst into laughter at his rebellious actions. However, the relentless production team warns that if they are caught forcibly operating the air conditioning, their work hours will be extended by an hour, swiftly putting an end to Shin Seung-ho's defiance.
As the 'Handsoms' members unexpectedly begin their 'air conditioning deficiency life' in the 38-degree Celsius heat, questions rise about how they will overcome this adversity.
