Singer Sohyang (47) revealed the fact that she divorced two years ago.
Agency KQ Entertainment stated in an official statement on the 3rd, "Sohyang decided to support each other's paths based on sufficient dialogue and mutual respect," adding, "We would like to inform you that the divorce was not due to the fault of one party, but a mutual agreement between the two."
She added, "We ask for your restraint from distorted or indiscriminate reports and comments."
Sohyang debuted as a Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) singer in 1996 and married her husband, who she worked with in the CCM group POS in 1998. The couple separated in 2023, 25 years later. They have no children.
In an interview with Edaily released that day, she said, "We had difficulties due to differences in personality and values, but we endured while respecting each other," adding, "We judged that it was no longer right to go down the same path, and decided to divorce by mutual agreement."
He has been loved for his outstanding vocal ability on various music entertainment programs such as "I Am a Singer," "Immortal Songs," and "Begin Again." The agency reported, "We will spare no support to ensure that Sohyang can focus on her musical activities."
