The Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee (BICF) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Fanstarline.com.
The Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee, chaired by Kim Jun-ho, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Fanstarline.com, represented by Kim Jong-tae, on Aug. 29 (Friday) at the BEXCO Auditorium, establishing a formal partnership aimed at cultural tourism content exchange and strengthening mutual cooperation.
This agreement was made with the intention of fostering integration between the cultural industry and regional tourism content, as Fanstarline.com, which leads the cargo transportation business for passenger and freight, joins hands with the 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF), hereinafter referred to as 'Bukope'. The two institutions plan to continue collaboration in various fields, including sustainable growth of 'Bukope', co-planning of future performance content, promotional cooperation, and cultural exchange.
In particular, during the comedy pay performances of 'Mandan Assemble @ Bukope' and 'Communication King Maljahalmae SHOW', which were held last weekend, a voucher for Fanstar cruise worth 2 million won was awarded to the audience that laughed the most. The comedy pay theater has a new concept system where audiences pay admission fees based on the laughter they produce, recognizing laughter, making it a hot topic at every festival. As Fanstarline.com's marine tourism infrastructure combines with BICF's festival planning capabilities, positive ripple effects on the development of marine cultural tourism content centered around Busan are expected.
Kim Jun-ho, the organizing chairman, noted, "This agreement is a new model of cooperation between the different industries of comedy and tourism," and added, "We will discover various contents that allow citizens and tourists to communicate through laughter and contribute to enhancing Busan's cultural status."
The Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee is also accelerating the diversification of performance content and the expansion of cultural enjoyment opportunities for citizens by signing a memorandum of understanding with the Busan Jin Cultural Foundation in June. Taking this partnership with Fanstarline.com as an opportunity, it intends to strengthen collaboration across public and private sectors further, contributing to the expansion of the comedy genre and the development of popular culture.
Meanwhile, today (3rd), a 'Comedy Open Concert' co-hosted by 'Bukope' and the 53rd Infantry Division will be held at the APT. of Jangsan Village in Haeundae District. Additionally, starting from the 5th (Friday), various programs are scheduled, including the overseas performance 'MICF Roadshow in Busan', as well as theatrical performances 'Comedic Association' and 'Seoul Comedy All-Stars 2nd'. The 13th 'Bukope' will take place throughout Busan until Sept. 7 (Sunday).
