Former broadcaster Lee Sang-min is capturing attention again with mentions of 'divorce' just four months after remarrying.
On the 2nd, the SBS program 'Dolsing Poman' featured Finnish broadcaster Leo Lanta, actor Cha Tae-hyun, and Koyote's Kim Jong-min as guests to discuss marriage topics.
On this day, Lee Sang-min remarked on Cha Tae-hyun's appearance, saying, 'Didn't you come on our program once and laugh and chat?' and Cha Tae-hyun was surprised, replying, 'I didn't know it had already been so long. It's been four years.'
In response, Tak Jae-hoon said, 'It's time for you to come in now,' and Cha Tae-hyun asked, 'Isn't it okay if I'm not divorced?' Tak Jae-hoon replied, 'You have to be divorced.' Hearing this, Cha Tae-hyun responded, 'But doesn't it take a long time for that? Because you have to adjust...' and Kim Jong-min added, 'And partitioning the assets.'
Cha Tae-hyun expressed disbelief, saying, 'Isn't that right? Isn't there a lot to deal with? It takes quite a while,' and Lee Sang-min responded, 'When I was registering for marriage, I asked, didn't I? I was told that if you go directly to register for divorce, it's done right away,' which drew attention.
Hearing this, Kim Jun-ho was baffled, saying, 'But why do you ask about divorce when you're registering for marriage?' and Lee Sang-min replied, 'I was just asking.' Tak Jae-hoon added, 'Did you ask out of habit?' to which Lee Sang-min explained, 'I found out that there's a divorce registration office.'
Im Won-hee reacted, saying, 'Isn't there nothing to find out?' indicating his confusion, and Lee Sang-min clarified, 'I'm just providing information. If there are people who want to get divorced, just go to the registration office,' leading Cha Tae-hyun to joke, 'Thanks for the useful information,' which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-min, hearing Leo's story about 'disappearing divorce,' asked, 'Is that a heartbreaking story?' and Cha Tae-hyun defended, 'All divorces are heartbreaking.' To this, Leo shot back, 'Isn't it a bit dismissive to say you're remarrying again right after a divorce?' and Lee Sang-min replied, 'No, I don't dismiss divorce. I'm someone who talks about divorce happily,' which instead had the opposite effect.
Cha Tae-hyun, bewildered by the absurd excuse, urged, 'Stop it now!' but Lee Sang-min declared, 'If that's the case, it's better to break up.'
Additionally, Lee Sang-min attempted to smear Kim Jong-min's marriage life, saying, 'To be honest, haven't you made excuses like, 'I have to leave early tomorrow morning?' when your wife's story gets long?' and he recounted a similar story, stating, 'It was just yesterday. They say it's important to take a walk at night. After dinner, I got home, and it was past 8 p.m. I was too lazy to go back out. Before bringing it up, I said, 'I have two episodes of Dolsing Poman tomorrow..' and all women understand that. They would say, 'So you're saying you won't go?' and I replied, 'No, I'll go. Let's go,' and it happened.'
Amidst this, Tak Jae-hoon asked Kim Jong-min, 'From your perspective as someone who has been on the program for a long time, 'Dolsing Poman' has been around for a while. It's been five years. Which among the 'Dolsing Poman' members seems to be in the most precarious situation? There's clearly a difference in entrance. Two have married, and two are still single,' and Cha Tae-hyun, who was listening, asked, 'But honestly, if those two leave, would you stay?'
In response, Tak Jae-hoon said, 'I would rather wish that they would just come back quickly than leave (Kim Jun-ho and Lee Sang-min),' which made Kim Jun-ho's wife, Kim Ji-min, flare up. Kim Jun-ho replied, 'How long has it been since you got married? Is that something to say in front of the bride?' and Tak Jae-hoon stated, 'If they leave, it would honestly be disappointing as we part ways. Rather, it's better to keep it amicable. If they come back and say, 'Brother, I'm back,' it would be 'Let's fight!' That's preferable.'
Meanwhile, Lee Sang-min married actress Lee Hye-young in 2004 but divorced the following year. Since then, he has showcased a 'penny-pinching' image through various entertainment programs with the concepts of 'divorced' and 'debtor.' This year, he registered for marriage with a non-celebrity woman 10 years his junior.
