The storyteller had prepared a discount card for a restaurant they had reserved with difficulty, but at the moment of settling the bill, the friend had already completed the payment. When the embarrassed storyteller asked why, the friend explained, 'I did it out of habit,' but this did not erase the doubts.
The situation repeated itself at the storyteller's promotion celebration. Although the storyteller tried to pay for the celebration they had organized, they felt deflated after the friend said, 'I already paid. You can give me cash later.' Even at a café where they had a free coupon, the friend paid with their card without using it, leading the storyteller to speculate, 'It seems like they come out to fulfill their card usage requirements.'
However, other friends at the gathering showed a stance of 'That could happen, right?' In response to the storyteller's question, 'Am I the only one who feels troubled by this? Am I the weird one?' Choi Seo-im suggested, 'Could it be that the storyteller also needs to accumulate usage, and this misunderstanding comes from that mindset?'
