Finnish YouTuber Leo revealed that he is a divorced man and shared that he ended his marriage after his ex-wife went missing.
In the 199th episode of SBS 'Dolsing Fourmen,' aired on the 2nd, Leo appeared and told his bittersweet marriage story.
After gaining recognition as 'Korean Foreigners,' Leo, a YouTuber who is even more Korean than Koreans, said, "My ex-wife is Korean. We met right after becoming adults and dated for a year, and we were married for about four years." He has no children, as they broke up eight years ago.
Leo confessed, "I had to register our marriage in both Finland and Korea. If not, I would have to pay a fine. So, even when getting divorced, I had to go through the legal processes in both countries, which was very complicated."
When Lee Sang-min asked, "You went through so much to register your marriage, why did you get divorced?" Leo replied, "I will only say this. (My ex-wife) went missing," providing a brief but shocking comment that surprised everyone. The members expressed their sympathy, saying, "I'm sorry, that's really a big issue."
Additionally, Leo mentioned, "It's just my guess, but my ex-wife wanted to learn English. So, I sent her abroad for studies. The moment she went abroad, she went missing. I never expected to lose contact with her," adding, "She wasn't a bad person. I still don't understand how this happened," which shocked the audience.
Furthermore, Leo noted that while divorce is possible in Finland by just submitting documents, in Korea, both parties must appear in court. He shared his feelings at that time, saying, "In the end, I faced my ex-wife again in front of the court. It was so unfamiliar, and I didn't know where to start the conversation."
After Leo expressed that he found the situation "lamentable," Tak Jae-hoon remarked, "Why are you using Korean words that even we don't know?" which amused everyone.
