It has been confirmed that the number of monthly active users of Coupang Play has increased by more than 330,000 compared to the previous month.
According to an app analysis service Wise App and Retail's survey on the 3rd, the monthly active user count (MAU) of Coupang Play in August was 7,725,253, marking an increase of 330,758 compared to the previous month (7,394,495).
This growth is analyzed to have been effective due to the continuous hits of sports content and original shows that Coupang Play exclusively provides.
In particular, the big games of major European football leagues, including the Premier League (PL), which officially kicked off in August, have received a strong response from football fans, while the exclusive live broadcast of Formula 1 (F1) has become a key driver steadily attracting motorsport enthusiasts.
The strength of original content has also stood out. The release of season 2 of the Coupang Play series 'Office Workers' and the unveiling of new HBO titles have greatly contributed to the increase in MAU by generating widespread resonance.
