I had to undergo an urgent surgery to shave down the bone on my right shoulder as it was growing and digging into my tendon, causing it to be half severed."
Yoo Eun-sung said, "I couldn't use my right hand, so I stopped all communication, including phone calls, texts, KakaoTalk, and emails, to focus on treatment and rehabilitation," and added, "I apologize to those who may have worried. It seems I won't be able to communicate smoothly until mid-September."
Along with this, she drew attention by sharing family photos taken in the hospital wearing patient clothing, with her actress wife Kim Jung-hwa and their two sons, as well as photos with medical staff.
Earlier, Yoo Eun-sung married Kim Jung-hwa in 2013 and has two sons together. She publicly shared her brain cancer diagnosis last year, receiving support from many. Meanwhile, Yoo Eun-sung explained, "If the tendon completely tears, a reconstruction surgery will be required. However, I received a diagnosis that it might be difficult to have the reconstruction surgery due to a benign bone tumor near the arm bone where a piece needs to be placed during the process." She continued, "Ultimately, I decided it would be best to have the bone surgery before the tendon tears completely based on the doctor's opinion, stopping all schedules and being hospitalized on August 25th, receiving treatment for 8 nights and 9 days. I was discharged today."
She added, "Fortunately, the surgery went well, and it is said to take about 4 months for a full recovery," and noted, "Starting from September 12th, I have already scheduled activities, so I plan to resume my activities. I ask for your many prayers."
