ASTRO member and actor Cha Eun-woo (real name Lee Dong-min) has caught attention with updates about his military service.
Today (2nd), a completion ceremony for trainees who completed basic military training was held at the training center in Nonsan, South Chungcheong Province.
Cha Eun-woo, who was previously known to have become a squad leader trainee, stood at the forefront as a representative of the trainees during the ceremony. This indicates that Cha Eun-woo excelled in basic military training, as the role of the trainee representative is selected based on outstanding leadership and sincere attitude.
Wearing military uniform and beret, Cha Eun-woo made a dignified appearance and led other trainees with precise discipline. He began by saying, "I report, trainee Lee Dong-min (real name)," and then stated, "I have received orders for the completion of training as of September 2, 2025. Therefore, I report this." Afterward, he shouted, "Salute to the battalion commander!" directing the trainees' salute.
Afterward, he passionately sang the military song with his fellow trainees and received encouragement from the training command after the completion ceremony. Despite being after tough training, his shining visuals and more mature atmosphere, unchanged from before his enlistment, drew admiration. Cha Eun-woo's perfect proportions and physique, which made the completion ceremony feel like a drama filming location, also caught the eye.
Netizens who saw the photos of Cha Eun-woo captured at the training center exclaimed, "How can he look so handsome in the military?" "It looks like he's filming a movie," and "He shines from head to toe," while also showing their eagerness for him to return from service soon.
Cha Eun-woo enlisted in active duty with the Army on July 28th. After entering the Nonsan training center and completing four weeks of basic military training, he will continue to serve as part of the Military Band Support Group under the Ministry of National Defense.
In particular, even after entering the training center, Cha Eun-woo's unique handsomeness was proven by a flood of eyewitness accounts from fellow trainees. Posts circulated in online communities, such as, "The soldiers brought everything to Cha Eun-woo just to see his face," "Even with a buzz cut, he's so handsome that I avoided eye contact," and "When I went to the chapel, the instructor said, 'Don't stare at him. He's a person,'" bringing smiles.
Meanwhile, Cha Eun-woo continues to work actively during his military service, with no feeling of hiatus. The movie 'First Ride,' filmed before his enlistment, is set to be released in October this year, and next year, the Netflix series 'The Wonderfuls' will be unveiled. Right before his enlistment, Cha Eun-woo emphasized to his fans, "Albums, movies, and dramas will all come out, so please don't forget me. I will go and develop further. There are many things I want to try. So let's not feel down. When you see my albums, movies, and dramas, you'll say, 'Oh, Eun-woo is out!'" and added, "I have prepared all three magnificently," raising expectations.
