Actress Jun Ji-hyun expressed strong satisfaction with the filming site of 'Polaris,' alongside handsome actors Gang Dong-won and Park Hae-jun.
Disney+ held a press conference for the new original series 'Polaris' (written by Jeong Seo-kyung, directed by Kim Hee-won and Heo Myung-haeng) on the morning of 2nd at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul located in the Jongno district of Seoul. The main cast included actress Jun Ji-hyun, Gang Dong-won, Kim Hae-sook, Lee Mi-sook, Lee Sang-hee, Park Hae-jun, Yoo Jae-myung, Oh Jeong-se, and Joo Jong-hyuk, who discussed 'Polaris' with directors Kim Hee-won and Heo Myung-haeng under the moderation of broadcaster Park Kyung-rim.
'Polaris' is a drama that depicts the story of Mun Joo (Jun Ji-hyun), who has built an international reputation as a United Nations (UN) ambassador, chasing the behind-the-scenes of a presidential candidate's shooting incident, and facing a huge truth threatening the Korean Peninsula alongside a nameless special agent, San-ho (Gang Dong-won).
In addition to Gang Dong-won, Jun Ji-hyun appears as the wife of Park Hae-jun in the drama. Regarding this, Jun Ji-hyun sang a song titled 'So Handsome' as a greeting. In this regard, Jun Ji-hyun noted, "Isn't he too handsome? But he also makes such a variety of expressions," and laughed, saying, "Instead of a greeting, I said to him, 'You look so handsome today, senior.' He has such a good character, so we filmed happily."
When Park Kyung-rim and Director Kim Hee-won said, "Mr. Park Hae-jun doesn't deny it again," Park Hae-jun blushed, saying, "It's just awkward."
Jun Ji-hyun also remarked, "If I look this way, it's Park Hae-jun; if I look that way, it's Gang Dong-won. It was so good. I was happy whether I looked this way or that way," and joked, saying, "I never closed my eyes. I kept my eyes wide open."
Park Hae-jun said, "I thought it was just a customary saying, but it was sincere, so it's an honor," adding, "Truly, Jun Ji-hyun is someone with overwhelming visuals, and hearing you say that makes it even more heartwarming."
'Polaris' will be released on Disney+ from the 10th, with episodes 1 to 3 premiering.
