KBS2 'The Return of Superman' star Shim Hyung-tak has caught attention by revealing the cupid who connected him with his Japanese wife, Saya.
'The Return of Superman' (directed by Kim Young-min, hereafter 'Superman') has been loved by the public for 13 years since it first aired in 2013. Following Eun-woo in 2023, in the second and third weeks of June, 'Superman' Jung-woo proved his status as the youngest and strongest topical star by ranking in the top 10 for two consecutive weeks in the non-drama cast topic section (according to Good Day Corporation). Additionally, last July, he received the 'Presidential Citation' in commemoration of the 14th 'Population Day', demonstrating the pride of being a 'national parenting entertainment' program.
The upcoming 588th episode of 'Superman', airing on the 3rd, is titled 'Peek-a-boo~ Our Baby!', featuring the three MCs Park Soo-hong, Choi Ji-woo, and Ahn Young-mi, along with Superman Shim Hyung-tak and Supermom Kim Yoon-ji.
In this broadcast, 'Superman's' 'Manga Baby' (a baby who looks like he jumped out of a cartoon) will feature Ha-ru's 200-day milestone and Shim Hyung-tak's extraordinary love for Doraemon. Shim Hyung-tak prepared a Doraemon poster wanting to leave a significant imprint of his son Ha-ru's 200-day foot stamp. When the MCs mentioned, "Now, Doraemon feels like part of our family," Shim Hyung-tak revealed, "I married Saya because of Doraemon," stating that Doraemon had a 100% equity in his first meeting with Saya, and he will share the love story with Saya.
On the other hand, Shim Hyung-tak challenges himself to make a cute foot stamp of Ha-ru by himself. He embarks on the task of stamping the foot of Ha-ru, who has grown over 200 days, within Doraemon's foot, capturing a craftsman-like spirit in Shim's eyes that elicited laughter. When Ha-ru's tiny foot was captured, Choi Ji-woo commented, "It's so tiny," captivated by Ha-ru's cuteness. As everyone looked forward with anticipation to Shim Hyung-tak's foot stamp challenge, an unexpected sigh arose. Curiosity is piqued about the reason for the commotion in the studio and whether the 200-day foot stamp of Ha-ru will succeed.
