The 'Overindulgence Club' producer explained the reason for casting the cast members.
On the morning of the 2nd, a press conference for TV Chosun's new variety show 'My Way - Overindulgence Club' took place at the TV Chosun Gasan Studio in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul. The conference featured Tak Jae-hoon, Chae Jung-an, Yunho of TVXQ, LeeTeuk, Mimi Minoo, and Producer Kim Hana, who shared their thoughts.
'My Way - Overindulgence Club' is a reality show that observes the daily lives of people who immerse themselves in various subjects. Tak Jae-hoon, Chae Jung-an, Yunho of TVXQ, LeeTeuk, and Mimi Minoo will join as MCs to reveal their moments of overindulgence in everyday life.
On that day, Producer Kim Hana was asked about the reason for casting the members, and she noted, "I am very grateful that they agreed to come rather than just being cast. Although it was difficult to gather them, I appreciate them coming willingly. Tak Jae-hoon is a genius in entertainment. I think he is a genius who recognizes people's characters and fun factors and can improvise well. I couldn't imagine what he would immerse himself in. I was curious about how he would react to others' immersion. While filming in the studio, he seemed very interested in how others were immersed and looked upon them with warmth. I found it most surprising that he is so overly indulged in our program. He arrived too early at our first meeting, shared many ideas, and still shares a lot of thoughts about the program now. I thought, 'Wow, he is truly immersed.'"
She continued, "Chae Jung-an is the nation's first love, an ex-girlfriend. She is a beautiful person who is friendly and can comfortably share relatable stories, which is her strength. I know she is very good at being an MC and is very curious. She tends to overindulge, so she is able to explain and empathize well with the other cast members and the object of their overindulgence."
Additionally, she joked, "Yunho of TVXQ is undeniably a passion icon. He plays the role of the heart of 'Overindulgence Club,' like a tank. He is eager to overindulge, so there are many occasions where we have to advise him against it. The production team reflected a lot after the discussion ended. Yunho lives like that, and he said, 'We should work hard,' to that extent. The production team is undergoing very intense lessons."
Regarding LeeTeuk, she said, "He is doing well as an MC. I learned the reason he does well this time. While others explain, introduce, and encourage immersion, LeeTeuk absorbs immersion. He observes, listens, and wants to absorb it. I appreciate that he executes his MC role well in that regard. He will talk about his own immersion later, and I think he has a surprising charm. It's a completely new side, so you should look forward to it."
She then expressed satisfaction, saying, "Mimi Minoo may have a generational gap. She is someone who can explain immersion from a different generational perspective. Isn't she the MZ president in reality? In that sense, I understand why the MZ generation tends to overindulge, and I feel her charm radiating."
Meanwhile, 'My Way - Overindulgence Club' will premiere on the 3rd at 10 p.m.
